A medley of hymns about peace recorded by my sister Sharmen for her brother.  Two of my favorite songs.  So thankful for the peace that ONLY Jesus Christ can bring into our lives.  Plus, thankful that peace is real and alive even when a person is fighting cancer.

While I don't really want to make a habit of doing covers, I've found them to be particularly useful for improving my production skills as well as keep my playing skills up. This song was a request for me to do a backing track for Misty & Krystal, and despite not having actually heard this song before (I didn't know this song is a big hit on mainstream pop CCM stations), I found that liked it enough to fill in the blanks and do the full cover (with a special thanks to Misty on vocals in the chorus).

I omitted the sequenced synthesizers, electronic drum machine parts, as well as the extra vocal overdubs and reduced the parts to "human playable" part and instrumentation because I wanted a "more rock, less pop" overall sound to it. All the tracks are essentially scratch tracks done in one or two takes over the course of three nights.

How Deep The Father's Love For Us

This is probably my favorite song that God has let me write. The world has all kinds of ideas on what they think will bring completion to their life but as Christians we KNOW that outside of Calvary ALL is vain! This song is my testimony and I thank God for it!

I've Been to Calvary

This song was as convicting for me to write as I pray it will be for you to listen to. The Church has a big problem in this modern day and age but it's not the church down the street or the man down the pew. The problem is me. Question is, what am I willing to do about it?

Of all of the renditions of this song I've heard... this is my favorite!  This song has been on my mind ALL DAY... ever since I woke up this morning.  Even with cancer, Christ IS NOT A DISAPPOINTMENT!  HE has FULLY satisfied EVERY longing in my life!  So glad I'm a Christian and that I'm His child!
