Love is an emotional capacity without boundaries. It is the inherent beauty of life and light, flowing from within our body and mind. The alchemy of intimacy and devotion helps us to ascend from darkness, filling our soul with a clear radiant energy. Like a beaming star, our compassion and affection heal us by releasing our trauma in katharsis.

The compilation “No Limits, All Love” is the 12th release of katharsis, celebrating our first anniversary with 10 poignant tracks from artists novel to the label. With the title as a thematic starting point and additional references of gratitude, healing and growth, the contributing artists were invited to interpret their experiences of kathartic purgation and salvation through music.

To commence the compilation, the Egyptian Ma3azef-affiliated artist ABADIR engages us with his spellbinding track “Clearance”, before the British sound-designer Phrixus gets our bodies moving to his wonky “Unintentional Alchemy”. Debuting local Danish artist Bloszum takes the pace down again with the hypnotizing piano-infused hymn, “Beauty Is Only Crystal Deep”, followed by the daybreaking floater “Flamma” by Uruguayan artist Balas De Agua.

Subsequently, French producer Zero Crossing Point delivers a stellar spectrum of emotion on “Our Ascension” ahead of the sentimental receptacle of heartbreak on the track “Vesper” by French artist Awbluu. The energy dives deep into the trancelike state of our subliminal mind on Nexcyia’s “wrapped(up)”, as danish duo J Sliwa, consisting of label founder jjjacob and his partner in crime Lighyer, shoots for the stars with celestial cannons on the track “Light Is Within”. The compilation culminates in climax on the motivational rave-anthem “Don’t Be Sad” by the Swedish YEAR0001-affiliated duo Quit Life, before Santebela closes the album with grandiose piano phrases bathed in reverb on “save me”.

Sometimes this combination draws its essence from obscure ambient demotivating, other times steals the body of enormous noisy and granular flows.

An emblematic sound vessel capable of containing everything from the sharpest electro-acoustic resonances to the most deformed deteriorations of hip hop imagery.

"Hatching Of A Fragile Tear Droplet" is a track by a mysterious Hungarian artist called SUTA. @talfaja is a one-man band emerging from an inglorious spot of the Hungarian lowlands: Talfaja. His music is influenced by the innocent playfulness and repetitive melodic attributes of the early 2010s EDM scene, SUTA binds these features with obscure textures and diverse sound layers.

The Helsinki-based multidisciplinary artist Exmantera (Daniil Mantere, they/them) https://soundcloud.com/exmantera is one of the prominent names in the Finnish underground digital electronic scene, and they’re known for their abrasive, knife-sharp outings where crispy sound design meets clangy dramatic tension. After hosting a remix on last year’s “Ross 308 EP” by the also Finnish artist Comastasis https://paynomindtous.bandcamp.com/track/ross-308-exmantera-remix, we’re thrilled to share with you their latest work “LETHALITY” EP.

“LETHALITY” is composed of seven tracks and comes with an eerie, obscure artwork by Exmantera and uzâ a’amo instagram.com/uzaaamo/ as well as two collaborative tracks with Nova Caine @n0vad0sed and Yaokai @yaokai. As evoked by its title, the record is unforgiving in its sonic violence, aggressive distortion, and clangorous instinctiveness. Episodes inspired by the finest instrumental grime are followed by ear-splitting bursts, metallic percussions, glitching artifacts, and sinister melodies. These raw ingredients are molded into eventful tracks that immediately capture the listener despite the unrestrained rhythmic violence, guiding them down a treacherous path of digital corrosivity. In other words, Exmantera encapsulates spectacular ferocity and immaculate bloodlust in each of the compositions, molding the elements in the ultimate sound transposition of the impulse to maw, gnaw, and kill. For Kelvin T’s second full-length album ‘Aerate’, the Hong Kong-based musician utilises sound to mimic a hallucinogenic state of mind, a means to coax listeners into relinquishing control over their consciousness.

After his last album ‘Unlock Voice’, released in late 2018 through Hong Kong-based label Absurd TRAX, Kelvin T has been on the search for a new sonic palette. The result is ‘Aerate’, a collection of songs designed to be consumed like substances, substances that transport you into a state of ‘headbanging relaxation’ (in the words of the artist). Compared to the last album, which focuses on eliciting specific emotions through the association of sounds, ‘Aerate’ aims to transport listeners into an alternate state of mind and body, one that can possibly only be achieved through the use of substances.
