I had a dream that Birmingham's one and only Low Steppa and dark bass trendsetter Taiki Nulight teamed up to collaborate on some music, it was glorious. When I woke up I thought, "This could never happen." As I checked my email that day there was not one but two songs by the innovative British producers. It's a Night Bass miracle! The two songs are a perfect union of both producers' styles. "Nu Jam" is a dark and bouncy roller with a big fat sub guiding the way, while "Nose Powder" takes us to a fist pump level of energy around a minimal but undeniably banging bassline. A quietly underrated producer and accomplished musician, Rapson's name may be unfamiliar to most but his talents are undeniable. A versatile artist, he worked as a session musician on Ben Westbeech's critically-acclaimed Brownswood Recordings releases and was for some time known for a broken beat-type sound, before his sublime white-label edit of Marvin Gaye's 'Mercy Mercy Me' was picked up and supported by Gilles Peterson.

In-demand producer Flashmob delivers a masterful two-piece assault on his Hot Creations debut, entitled The Lone Brazilian.
