Armed with an acoustic guitar and rich soulful voice, Ruth Martin has been writing and performing her own individual blend of acoustic-folky-bluesy-rock at lots of different venues from The Queens hall Edinburgh to Iona Library. Her music has been described as: emotive, sparse, haunting, beautiful, deep, harmonious and thought provoking. Martin has been collaborating with the lovely and fantastically talented Nicki Hall on guitar and vocals and they are currently working on their new ep. Ruth is also singer and guitarist in the excellently loud three piece Riot Grrl/Punk band Scragfight.
