A Better Man.. at Elko, South Carolina

Circa 1999…Two cousins who grew up in Aiken, South Carolina formed rap duo “Cherokee”. They named themselves after a street that they lived on for most of their lives.  A lot of their family also lived on this street that was built by their Great Grandfather.  Known by most in the town as “Cherokee Boyz” they took away the boyz and kept the Cherokee name. Cherokee released what some call a classic album “The Promise” in the year 2000.  After a small stint in the industry they were both called in different directions, but never swayed from making music……..
