Born & raised in Montreal, Canada, StevenCharles moved to NYC to pursue his dreams of performing live music on stage. He started in Musical Theatre but geared his career more and more toward his love for recording music. A natal root he needed to return to. As StevenCharles gained profound new experiences upon moving to New York after college, he was catapulted into a songwriting surge and he began to create more and more each day. Now with 11 years of Songwriting experience, and a forever-growing vocal ability, Steven is ready to perform his music to a generation that will be saved and re-born. Steven’s influences vary from Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, and Michael Jackson to the many commercial artists who are out today. You can compare his lyrics to the influences of John Legend and Alicia Keys. The vision seems to be the same concerning GOOD music that can change the world, speak to an audience and inspire them to move forward. Steven’s songs have been quoted to give a person shivers because they’ve felt so connected to the words. Steven also looks up to and admires the career successes of Will.I.Am, Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Jamie Foxx. Through his own success, Steven will stop at nothing to entertain and engage an audience to be delivered to higher levels of existence.
