With a deep foundation in his love for classical music, the self-taught pianist, Steven Lewis, constantly looks to strengthen the connection of his own musical style with those who have come before him. His father’s music filled his childhood home with early influences such as James McMurty, James Taylor, Bob Marley, David Bowie, and Patti Griffin, who taught him the importance of musical authenticity. Through his own self-discovery he has found lessons in artists such as FKJ, Sault, Piero Piccioni, Ark Patrol, and Beethoven. Based in Los Angeles, the singer/songwriter, producer, and pianist incorporates soul, r&b, jazz, and classical to create versatile tracks that remain grounded in his own style.
