I wanted something that fit a little differently in my downtempo/warm up sets than the Samba style break I used in other version, so, I made this one! The Empresarios are finishing off a great year where they played the Joshua Tree Music Festival, the Funk Parade in Washington, DC in addition to touring California and the East Coast. However their biggest accomplishment of 2016 was launching their own independent record label Empresarios Musica.  After releasing three remix EPs, the Empresarios are finishing strong with The Vibes Remixed album.

In addition to the twelve amazing remixes already released, The Vibes Remixed album features a few brand new exclusive remixes that cannot be found anywhere else. First up is Stereo 77's remix of Pa' La Calle and he does just that, taking it to the street!  Stereo 77 is originally from Puerto Rico and now resides in Orlando, Florida where he is a regular on the club circuit. You can hear his experience as a club DJj loud and clear with electro-synth stabs and pulsing bass throughout his future house remix.

Next up is another hot remix of Pa' La Calle, but this time by Greek production duo Funkin' Basstards who take the original in a different direction altogether. Fans of funky breaks are going to love this remix as the Funkin' Basstards beef up the original with some chunky breakbeats, break downs and heavy bass lines. This one will be a favorite with DJs and radio jockeys looking to add some fresh and funky Latin breaks to the mix.

The final new remix on this album will make you very happy, it is Bedside's tropical house remix of Alegria.  Bedside are a production duo from Miami and you can hear that South Florida vibe in their remix! They have added live instrumentation to great effect, and the horns are amazing. This deep house groove is perfect for pool parties and late nights, oozing with Miami Beach sexiness.

In addition to these three new remixes, The Vibes Remixed album includes the previously released remixes which have been making waves around the world. I live in Newcastle in the UK I'm a producer and DJ named Smoove . Crossing all musical boarders in my own compositions and in my DJ sets by fusing Funk, Northern Soul, Hip Hop, Breakbeats, Disco and Jazz.
I DJ in the UK and Europe with tours promoting the late 2005 release of my debut album “Dead Men’s Shirts” on Acid Jazz Records.

2006 saw the creation of the succesfull my own label Wack Records including the first releases “Big Love” 

I released my second album ‘Gravy’ (Remixes & Rarities) on Acid Jazz Records in 2007 which featured the B-Boy smash athem “Im A Man”. 

In 2012 I released an album "First Class" on Jalapeno Records featuring various remix works followed by Recorded Delivery album in 2019.

Smoove and Turrell first collaborated in 2009 having released our first album “Antique soul” on Jalapeno Records and have released 7 studio albums including ‘Eccentric Audio, Crown Posada, Broken Toys, Mount Pleasant, Stratos Bleu & Red Ellen.
