The Nusery's second release of 2018 is a solo release by the hands of JC Laurent, a talented Frenchman who's been putting out top notch techno for the better part of a decade. 

Over that course of time, JC has developed a mature sound which is demonstrated fiercely on the EP's first track Dissonances. While thunderous kickdrums are making way for phasing synthesis, even the littlest of drum patterns are enough to keep tension sky high without exception. 

This formula is maintained throughout the tracks that follow. Whether it's the slightly dreamier Groom Lake, the tight sequences of the title track Soaring Over or the eerie, outer space vibe in Surveillance Plane: neither of them comprises anything more than that which is strictly necessary. And that is what makes Soaring Over EP the stellar piece of work that it is, four powerful cuts that are just waiting to make heads turn.

The third collaborative EP sees Clergy boss, Cleric, team up with French artist Kmyle. On remix duties is Blueprint label owner, James Ruskin, in what is a perfect way to conclude the final chapter in this series of five releases (CRG011 - 015). The ‘Empty Shells EP’ is due for release April 12th.

‘Empty Shells’ offers an unusually stripped back approach, concentrating on the raw modular rhythm that carries the track. Ruskin then offers his own perspective, adding sparse percussion and different synth elements to offer a driving counterpart to the original.

The flip side starts with ‘Vostrax’, a strong, powerful production that teases you with acidic elements that breathe in and out of solid rhythmic, distorted drums. For the final track of the EP ‘Televised’ slows things down in tempo, but still offers a hard hitting edge.

We focus our music and concept firstly to make good records. 

“Reason of being” is the name of the second EP of the Madrilenian techno label , Matterwave Records, 4 Original tracks by Spanish producer Akenaton (Sub TL, NXT Recordings, Hxagrm Records), a skilled techno producer and dj emerging in the scene. This EP is influenced by sounds of the motor-city where Akenaton shows his abilities recording the tracks in real time as a live set. 
A trip across the space to find yourself.

A-side

“Fantasy or reality” opens the EP, We start our trip throwing a message from the surface, 130 bpm’s minimalistic track, predominant and hypnotic lead from the first play like a sonar sound. Accompany with atmospheres, drums and metallic sounds that transport us to somewhere in the cosmos.

In second place We have “Understanding the concept”, Akenaton uses his 808 drum machine installed in the shuttle to send a new message at 132 bpm’s after to understand the space laws, using FX’s for the metallic sounds and alternating two melodies he can focus his abilities and concepts learned in the M-Plant’s label records.

B-side

“Voices from the cosmos” is a message for us, captured by Akenaton from some place in the universe and sent to the earth planet to make us enjoy and rave every time it is played. It is an aggressive radio transmission full of ADSR parameters, atmospheres and drones at 133 bpm’s. 
They received the Akenaton’s messages and now they are answering us.

The last track of the EP We find “Eclipse” where Akenaton makes a outro final after his space-trip and remind us that after all We can feel calm, reflexion and Peace.
