Long renowned for his passion, dedication & flawless mixing and marathon DJ sets, and having just been voted 75th of all time best DJ of in the world by Dash Berlin World, Anthony Pappa’s unique trademark defining “track selection, journey build, & precision mixing skills” coupled with his overall way of making things just pop has seen him become one of Australia’s most successful DJ exports.   Originally from Melbourne, Anthony’s DJ career began at the age of 15 where he won the DMC mixing championship. At the age of 20, due frustrated at being halfway around the world from where the music he loved was happening, he moved to the UK’s capital, London, to follow his passion & love of music & Djing. The move was not in vain as it wasn’t long before his talents were picked up by a core group of the UK’s biggest DJ’s who together & forged a strong squad of players that would shape the sounds that have been constantly evolving and always pushing the boundaries over the last two decades and will continue to do so for many years to come by Anthony & others alike.

“This was my first gig after quite a long break so I’d been stockpiling my favourite tunes from the last few months, and there were so many that I was desperate to try out, things like the Crackazat tracks, Radio Slave, Santos, Maps and so on. It’s always a bit nerve-wracking playing again after having time off (for me anyway), and Buenos Aires is always such an important and special place to me, but once in that room with that amazing crowd, I immediately felt like I hadn’t been away. I have to credit Anhauser for the way they opened the room, leaving me space to start my set as deep as I wanted – it’s such an important role and they set the mood perfectly. It was a five-hour set but honestly, I wish it could have carried on, I was having such an incredible time. And I can’t wait to return.”

Hernan Cattaneo - Live @ Clubland, Pacha, Buenos Aires 03.12.2000

'In deep space. Abandoned. Many crew? Negative.' That is the immortal line from the huge Space Manouevres anthem 'Stage One', an exemplary piece of production which arguably defined the late-90's and early-00's progressive house scene.

John Graham played an integral part in that era, not only through the Quivver handle (check 'She Does'), but through monikers like the Space Manouevers, Skanna, Stoneproof and Tilt (from 93 - 2002). You might be even more blown away to learn about his work in Hollywood as a movie scorer: 'The Taking of Pelham 123', Twelve' and 'Shrek Forever After (2010); plus recorded music for video game trailers such as 'Transformers', The Call of Duty' series and 'Batman: Arkham City Riddler'. His credentials speak for itself, and of late a whole new generation is opening itself up to Graham's talent.

Last year he became Beatport's third-highest selling progressive artist with 'Mumbo Jumbo' (it also went on to find itself in Beatport͛'s Top 10 best-selling progressive tracks at the end of that year). Released on Bedrock, it also became the label's number one selling single of 2017. His new imprint, Controlled Substance, just celebrated it's debut release with new Quivver track 'Hype', which is certainly living up to its name: 'Controlled Substance is already ranked 88th in the top progressive label on Beatport, after just one release - so it’s pretty hard to be disappointed with that.' And it's not hard to see why the label is charging to the front, 'Hype' is an impressive piece of production.

With the news that Quivver will be doing the coveted closing set at the Rainbow Serpent Festival on his upcoming Australian visit, this mix should serve a the perfect primer of what to expect. This is deep, dark and driving in equal spades.

Steve Parry's (almost my birthday) Live Stream 11-09-20

Steve Parry is unquestionably at the top of the UK scene, regularly playing along side heavy weights such as John Digweed, Sasha, Dave Seamen, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo and Guy J, he is the DJ’s choice of DJ.

Widely respected across the industry, his acclaimed 3 year residency at the iconic Cream in Liverpool, seen him rise to the top, regularly being booked to headline around the world, playing in clubs such as Ministry of Sound and the legendary Space Ibiza.

His ties to his home city of Liverpool are strong, where he managed the world famous 3Beat Records, and as a promoter, Steve had much success, firstly with his legendary ‘Alderaan’ nights which ran from ’97 – 2001 in a room above the infamous Lemon Lounge and helped to shape the very scene Liverpool has become known for to this day.

Now in between touring the world, Steve and long term friend and business partner Dave Seamen head up the Selador label, with many chart toppers under their belt already and many more to come.
