From the Techno of The Japanese Popstars to jozifs signature funk and house, John &amp; Nick go all out on their quota of production to generate truly special cuts alongside their much respected counterparts. On the first of the three CDs, Nicks considerable musical talents blend seamlessly with Johns vision as a DJ and unparalleled passion and knowledge for what works on the dancefloor. Like the perfectly structured sets Digweed has solidified his fame for, the Versus mix ebbs and flows to searing peaks and tranquil hypnotizers that make up an assorted blend of floor filling masterworks. While on CD 2, listeners can catch each production in its own diverse and genre jumping detail. No less than leading single Awakenings with Northern Irelands finest, Psycaton. A beautifully sculpted mix of down tempo set closers, this concluding offering is perfect for an after hours set as it lulls and coerces the listener into a suspended dreamlike state of musical serenity. XYZ Selectors 110 - Helsloot

Last December, I played at Stereobar in my hometown Montreal… in the middle of my set someone threw $100 on the decks, gave me a thumbs up, and just disappeared in the crowd. 😂 I’ve never experienced this before and DJs don’t usually receive tips but not complaining and shoutout to you if you’re reading this, you made my night!

That gig was so so special and I decided to record my set. Just posted the second part of the set. We kept the crowd's sound so that somehow you can feel a bit of that magic vibe.

This is a one hour recording of the HALO all nighter last December at Shelter Amsterdam. Where you would normally see a set climb upwards all night, we went the opposite way of ‘climbing downwards’. This seems counterintuitive at first, but I often find this subtle, introverted euphoria more interesting and rewarding than chasing climax after climax. All night long sets make these deviations from the norm possible. Happy listening!

My extended 2hr set for Get In Sync. It was an honor to open for Ninsa, Beswerda and VNTM on this magical event. Everything was perfect. After a few rough months, my serotonin levels have reached their peak level again.
Thanks everyone for making it possible.

This was my first ever set I completely prepared. Normally I think about my opening track for three minutes, and do the rest on the fly.
For this set I had some guidelines, so decided to prepare the whole thing.
It's a melodic journey of two hours, starting mellow and organic, having a few pit stops at the progressive stations, building up to energetic, melodic techno. I hope you enjoy!

The old adage "they don't make them like they used to" might seem trite; however, it certainly applies to Belgian producer Pole Folder. During the 2000s, his knack for delivering epic and soaring productions that immersed you into a world of narrative was unparalleled. Listen to the amazing "Apollo Vibes" (alongside CP); it is intricate yet feels huge, unfolding its themes with the confidence of a master magician. All that craft ensured his music being featured on prominent US TV shows (Nip/Tuck, CSI) and movies (2002’s "Stark Raving Mad"). 

Today, Pole Folder is still acknowledged as a versatile performer who continues to tour globally, bringing his intricate studio creations to life with live vocals and various instruments he has mastered since childhood. Here, the veteran does not disappoint. Featuring tracks from Fort Romeau, Marsh, Rodriguez Jr., and, of course, Pole Folder himself, this is a deep, 2-hour progressive excursion filled with many emotional vocal cuts and introspective moments.

MIRAGE BY HENRY SAIZ 7: EGOTRIP @ Buenos Aires (Only Henry Saiz Music)

Focusing yet again on homegrown talent, Rhythm Convert(ed) serves us Belgian sensation Steve Slight's first offering for the label.

The title track of the EP eases us in with it's pumping groove and soaring synths only to take us by surprise with the quirky, melodic breakdown. Loading up an extra, grimy synth to do the trick, Steve takes it home with style.

On the remix, Cocoon and MB Elektronics soldier Egbert dubs it out and keeps our heads down, while he teases us with spacey FX and hints of the original's melody. Sublime moodiness and intricate textures weave through crisp drums making this a one-way stroll through bass-land.

Closing with "Make Love Not War", we have Detroit moments popping in and out keeping the track on a highly uplifting mood. What better way than this, for Mr. Slight to show off his synth skills.

"My father and sister played several instruments and my mother had a Roland synthesizer. I was 7 years old. This is where it all started for me.
I tried to play the Roland and experimented by manipulating sounds and tunes. Trial and error teached me how to make inspiring sounds.

Sounds for me are a very interesting thing. Sounds, not only of music, but also from daily life stuff: footsteps in a parking lot, wind blowing or even a ticking clock.

Later I discovered Techno and eventually started playing. I was amazed by all the tracks that i could share with the crowd, sounds, effects, the vibe, the way people reacted to it, and most of all, what was happening inside of me!

I wanted to make this kind of music. I was mesmerized...

So i bought my first gear, it was a Roland MC909 and Logic audio. I started to experiment a bit and learned the tricks and trade by myself and through a music forum were I dropped my first try-outs I met Ramon Tapia.

He was my very first guide. He would invite me a few times in his studio at USA Import Antwerp and share with me a lot of inspiration and knowledge about music.

When it comes to music I get inspired by all kinds of events that occur in my life. I believe that my personal emotions are the basis for any musical creation. I might be a dreamer, but when I feel joy or anger, or when other emotions run high, I feel creativity tickle and that are the best moments to make a powerful track.

And sometimes, like a writers' block, there comes nothing at all. And that is also good."
