It's been a while, but finally I'm back with a fresh mix for all you discerning music freaks ! This was a 12 hour set recorded at Bambu on a sunny sunday afternoon, so I am splitting it into digestible chunks :)
Part one kicks off with some funky chunky uplifting house to get the party started.. more chunks to follow !

No doubt, the most epic birthday ever and what better way to celebrate it than throw down a 5 hour set! As Bambu Huts proudly reached it's one year milestone this auspicious date just happened to fall on my own birthday so clearly it was divinely necessary to bring everyone together in a a joyful celebration of life, connection, music, dance and creativity..

I won't ever forget the moment when I stopped the music halfway through my set and requested that everyone sing one song together, not something you'll see everyday in a DJ set! I really wasn't sure it would work, perhaps I would be singing all on my own, but in that moment something beautiful happened and there were suddenly hundreds of us singing 'What A Wonderful World' in harmony :)

No coincidence that I chose this song, which I ended the very first ever Sunday Session with, on New Years Day 2023 and has always been one of my all time favourites. This whole set is an uplifting journey featuring lots of Bambu favourites from the last 6 months, so I hope you'll enjoy it as much as we all did on the day, a truly epic party that will live long in the memory and here is captured for all of you, forever...

The Sunday Session Vol 2 'The Birthday Session'

Recorded live at Bambu Huts on Feb 4th 2024, this is my afternoon set as I opened the portal for our incredible guest DJs Chus and La Santa, who absolutely rocked the house in the night time! This daytime mix starts off from a place of total stillness as I wanted to set a peaceful tone after the insane high season of the last weeks, before building through some emotive and beautiful organic and afro house, featuring a lot of tracks from the excellent Redolent label run by our special guest Chus. An unforgettable night ended with the three of us jamming together on the flightdeck of the Bambu spaceship and an unbelievable vibe on the dancefloor, this was one for the history books!

The Sunday Session Vol 3 'Peace Portal'

Slinky, sultry sunset vibes are what's on offer here, kicking off with some deep grooves that build from organic and afro explorations into pumping progressive and uplifting house, before culminating in a furious melodic techno peak, as the dancefloor was on FIRE that evening! Finally returning as we always do to the soulful uplifting gospel of real house music...

The Sunday Session Vol 4 'Pyjama Party'

New Years Day 2024 was a very special occasion as it marked exactly one year since the first ever Bambu Huts party, it's hard to believe it's only been 52 sundays since we opened.. so much has happened, so many great memories already that it seems like a lifetime! 

To commemorate this milestone I played a timeless set of my very best musical gems, personal favourites, island classics and deep, sexy house music all the way.. This was an unforgettable night in the Playgirl Mansion and the perfect way to welcome in the new year and celebrate all we've achieved in our first cycle around the sun!

On a gorgeous April evening I stepped onto the flightdeck at sunset and an unbelievable energy was on the dancefloor at Bambu, so I knew I had to bring my best.. This high energy mix features some of my favourite tracks of 2024 so far, from the likes of Space Motion, Artbat, Silver Panda, Moojo, Temper Trap, Andhim and many more. The entire crowd had hands and fans in the air by the end, an unforgettable moment, one of the best parties we ever had full of love, vibes & togetherness!

Sunday Session Vol 6 'Sensual Art'

An artist with a difference, Stevie Keys is an accomplished DJ who draws on his classical background to perform live piano over his sets, as well as a renowned producer with a history of releasing house music going back 20 years. You might not realise it but if you’ve been on a dancefloor in recent years you’re likely to be familiar with Stevie’s production as his original tracks have been released on some of the hottest labels around, licensed to over 100 compilations worldwide and supported by the world’s biggest DJ’s, such as Carl Cox, Pete Tong and Armin Van Buuren.

Born in Australia and always obsessed with music, Stevie Keys first trained as a classical pianist, before moving on to study sound engineering and completing a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. By the age of 18 he had a record deal as a solo artist and had performed all over Australia, supporting artists such as Bjork and The Prodigy on their tours of the Southern Hemisphere.

Moving to London at the age of 19 he went on to record under various artist names including Antartica (for seminal UK dance label React), Altitude (Bonzai Records/ Sony), Sound of Soho (with Eye Industries/ Universal) and Tremor (for the influential Progressive House imprint Platipus).

Some career highlights include cowriting songs with legendary artists such as Nile Rodgers & Bernard Summers, remixing for the likes of Sia, R Kelly and James Holden, hosting a weekly radio show on DI.FM (one of the pioneering internet stations for electronic music) compiling and mixing compilation albums such as The Art of Chill (Sony) and producing several underground club hits that broke into the UK singles chart and were subsequently licensed to major labels such as Sony and Universal.

Now resident in Koh Phangan, Thailand which is famous for the Full Moon Party but is also becoming a popular destination on the international DJ circuit. In 2015 he created the now legendary Why Nam day party, before moving on to found Bambu Huts, which is fast becoming one of the most popular music venues in Thailand. 

Finally settled in this tropical island paradise after years of travelling the world, Stevie Keys is the resident DJ/ musical director of Bambu Huts, where he created The Sunday Session in 2023. This weekly event quickly established itself as the premier party on the island and is famous for having a distinct & sophisticated sound focused on afro, organic & deep house. Here Stevie plays extended sets with live musicians every week alongside illustrious guests such as Chus & La Santa (Redolent/ Stereo Productions), Djuma Soundsystem (Iziki Global), Igor Marijuan (Akasha Ibiza), DJ Ino (Cafe de Anatolia), Rezident (Anjunadeep) and many others.
