We always say "this one was for the books" after every Snoopy Island gathering, but honestly this one really was special.

Seeing everyone arrive on Friday morning early before the event, checking in and heading straight to the beach for music & life after being cooped up for almost two years, just demonstrates the human spirit is resilient and thrives on sacred frequencies. 

We are innately built to heal and grow in the presence of natural frequencies.

Hope you enjoy this set as much as i enjoyed playing it for you all.

For the 133nd edition of Desert Hut Podcast Series, we’re pleased to welcome Tebra.

Tebra a.k.a. Milojko Jaric was born on the 7th of June, 1985. The idea for the Tebra project came after years of producing different electronic music genres.

Soon after starts the big and active work on music making and production inspired by Balkan ethnic music and world music in general. Many tracks are compiled, production gets better and better and after a couple of years of hard work he finally finds the sound that will become his main occupation in the upcoming period. 
In the autumn of 2017 Ritual records released two Tebra tracks as part of his first E.P. named “Suton”. That release gathered the attention of wide audience and soon after another track (Istok) got released under 8Cell Records (sub label of Tesseract Studio)
After the initial releases, Tebra`s music got increasingly exposed, many offers from the various record labels and invitations for Live Set and DJ performances started to follow.

Welcome back to the Magician On Duty Journey Series!

On this week's editions we welcome @Valeron

Generally recognized as the top DJ on the island of Mykonos, Valeron is definitely one of the longest standing and most omnipresent figures of the ever-shifting local music scene.

Soon after relocating to Mykonos, he became a producer releasing tracks that helped register his name in the Deep House and Electronic genre. This carried him through to becoming a founder of the Bercana Music label and releasing 2 personal albums already “Amare” & ‘’Aigaio’’. Valeron’s albums introduces a unique combination of traditional Greek instruments and Electronic beats.

Every Saturday at Scorpios Mykonos Valeron leads ‘’Scorpios World’’ where he performs live alongside Greek musicians of instruments such as the clarinet, violin, Ney,Bouzouki, Saz, Oud,Santur and many more. With lots of originals and remixes that had climb on top of Beatport charts, on May 2019 he will release his third personal album.

We are happy to welcome him to our family, and we hope you enjoy this mix as much as we do!

Why Bam - Vol 1 (Part 1)

An artist with a difference, Stevie Keys is an accomplished DJ who draws on his classical background to perform live piano over his sets, as well as a renowned producer with a history of releasing house music going back 20 years. You might not realise it but if you’ve been on a dancefloor in recent years you’re likely to be familiar with Stevie’s production as his original tracks have been released on some of the hottest labels around, licensed to over 100 compilations worldwide and supported by the world’s biggest DJ’s, such as Carl Cox, Pete Tong and Armin Van Buuren.

Born in Australia and always obsessed with music, Stevie Keys first trained as a classical pianist, before moving on to study sound engineering and completing a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. By the age of 18 he had a record deal as a solo artist and had performed all over Australia, supporting artists such as Bjork and The Prodigy on their tours of the Southern Hemisphere.

Moving to London at the age of 19 he went on to record under various artist names including Antartica (for seminal UK dance label React), Altitude (Bonzai Records/ Sony), Sound of Soho (with Eye Industries/ Universal) and Tremor (for the influential Progressive House imprint Platipus).

Some career highlights include cowriting songs with legendary artists such as Nile Rodgers & Bernard Summers, remixing for the likes of Sia, R Kelly and James Holden, hosting a weekly radio show on DI.FM (one of the pioneering internet stations for electronic music) compiling and mixing compilation albums such as The Art of Chill (Sony) and producing several underground club hits that broke into the UK singles chart and were subsequently licensed to major labels such as Sony and Universal.

Now resident in Koh Phangan, Thailand which is famous for the Full Moon Party but is also becoming a popular destination on the international DJ circuit. In 2015 he created the now legendary Why Nam day party, before moving on to found Bambu Huts, which is fast becoming one of the most popular music venues in Thailand. 

Finally settled in this tropical island paradise after years of travelling the world, Stevie Keys is the resident DJ/ musical director of Bambu Huts, where he created The Sunday Session in 2023. This weekly event quickly established itself as the premier party on the island and is famous for having a distinct & sophisticated sound focused on afro, organic & deep house. Here Stevie plays extended sets with live musicians every week alongside illustrious guests such as Chus & La Santa (Redolent/ Stereo Productions), Djuma Soundsystem (Iziki Global), Igor Marijuan (Akasha Ibiza), DJ Ino (Cafe de Anatolia), Rezident (Anjunadeep) and many others.
