Filled with contrasts in light and shadow and all the shades in between, Afterlife is thrilled to announce a collaborative release of Mind Against and Aether.  ‘Solaris’ is a melancholic listen in the form of a three track EP that brings in the light, dives in the dark and finally grounds you.

The title track ‘Solaris’ starts off with a poised, hypnotic groove that surges into arpeggiated chords, lighting the way. ‘Eclipse’ drifts off into a svelte bassline working with a darker, driven composition of synths. ‘Event Horizon’ finishes with an immaculately hewn journey, with focus on harmonic developments and whirring polymetrics.

In what’s become an annual tradition; Gregor Tresher and Petar Dundov have joined forces for another timeless tech dispatch. It’s been this way since their first collaborative foray ‘Duo Tone’ in 2011 and the results are always incredible. <> This one is particularly special… After years of releasing their collaborations on Music Man, Cocoon and Gregor’s Break New Soil, ‘Metamorphing’ is the superconductors’ debut on Nicole Moudaber’s MOOD and comes in hot pursuit of Nicole’s epic 12 minute revision of Gregor’s ‘Quiet Distortion’ earlier this year. We kick off with ‚Sphinx’, where a mammoth rolling drum arrangement carries an evocative riff deep into a mystic breakdown before firing it back out with an additional hook that has already been driving dancefloors insane in Gregor, Petar and Nicole’s sets throughout the summer. ‘Silo’ presents a somewhat haunted theme as echoed chimes shimmer over a deep penetrative groove rising and rising to a destination that only comes into view once you’re past the point of frenzied return. Finally we hit ‘Metamorphing’, a track perfectly tailored to MOOD’s dark shadowy signature; a complex weave of cosmocity, a sneaking arpeggio weaves and mutates with a fluidity that sucks you right in and refuses to let you go.

Luca Marchese is back on Markantonio's AnalyticTrail with his second EP for the imprint, and the three original tracks are in his usual style of peak time techno.

Based in Italy, Luca Marchese has been prolific with releases on influential labels including Carl Cox’s Intec, Sian’s Octopus, Christian Smith’s Tronic and Monika Kruse’s Terminal M.

With his tracks consistently picking up heavy DJ support, he has received plays in sets of people ranging from Tale Of Us and Solomun to Maceo Plex and Joseph Capriati.

“Revolution Party” opens the release with grinding bass synths that lead towards a powerful arpeggio before the seductive vocal textures are also introduced. From the first beat “Lose Control” has a furious feeling that erupts from the speakers with an intense bassline and pulsating synth line. “Exploration” closes out the release with it’s brooding atmosphere and devastating synth lines that rip through the track.

After his debut on Pursuit's Wild Cards, Baardman cooked up a sensational debut EP 'Lost Without Hope'.

The EP is rounded up by 2 remixes. The first one is from Hungarian newcomer Justrice who is know for his unique melodic tracks.

The second remix is done by Elusive Mind from Holland. With one EP on Pursuit already under his belt, Elusive Mind is a close associate of the label who has more new tracks coming out soon.

The EP is closed out by the more moody track 'Exposed Thoughts' which sees Baardman take his listeners into a darker territory.

Desert Hearts Black welcomes yet another legendary act into its fold today: Township Rebellion, who’ve graced the label with a heady new single titled ‘Mosaik.’ A secret set weapon for quite some time now, “Mosaik” is a cinematic addition to the duo’s discography—outfitted with a roaring, brass-centric hook and spacey synth harmonies surrounding it. A strong bassline and percussion section add fervor to the finished product.

The trek through the shadows doesn’t end with Township Rebellion’s original work. Four artists have been brought on for remix duties, the first being mau5trap and Yoshitoshi champion Rinzen, who beefed up the low end and tempo whilst creating even more tension during his breakdown. Desert Hearts Black owners Marbs and Evan Casey take the stage next, taking a minimal approach with their rendition of the original for a piece fit for sunrise. Finally, up-and-comer Victor Pilava enters from the left field with a slowed down, mystical interpretation. Much like its name, ‘Mosaik’ as a whole is a colorful, multifaceted collection of tracks.

Township Rebellion have maintained a stronghold over the melodic techno world through the year, clocking in milestone releases. Most recently, they made their debut on the RÜFÜS DU SOL-led imprint Rose Avenue with their dynamic ‘2020’ EP—inspired by current events. They also joined award-winning New York Times journalist Ian Urbina during the summer for for Storming The Thunder—inspired by Interpol’s hunt for the world’s most wanted poaching ship. These solo collections bookended various remixes and original tracks appearing on their regular home of Stil Vor Talent.

“Mosaik” is the penultimate release for Desert Hearts Black in 2020, closing out a memorable second year for the subsidiary label. They have continued to draw in A-list talent for their repertoire, with Dance Spirit, Rinzen, David Scuba, Vanita, and Anakim making their debuts—not to mention, Township Rebellion. After taking an otherwise tumultuous year in stride, fans can expect continued quality as Desert Hearts Black enters into the new year.

PREMIERE: EZEK - Metamorphosis [Sequence Music]

Were back in the capital with the 9th installment of the Stil vor Talent Berlin compilation series, which brings forth a group of old and new faces exclusively contributing tracks, gathered under the umbrella of one of Berlin's few remaining autonomous housing projects. 

The legendary Köpi, located at 137 Köpenicker Straße in Mitte, is a building complex that has become a symbol for the city's leftwing community since it was first squatted in 1990. Over the years it was legalised and has become a safespace for alternative lifestyles and autonomous viewpoints, welcoming socialists, anarchists, queers and musicians alike. Controversial to some, essential to others: Köpi symbolises the tensions inherently at play in the city since the fall of the Berlin Wall and rise of squatting. 

As always, music is the common denominator here and Oliver Koletzki delivers the perfect soundtrack with this new release, while Chrisse Kunst renders the visuals.
