Globally acclaimed talent Shingo Nakamura recently released his "Only Silk 02" compilation on parent label Silk Digital, featuring his original track "The Four". On Silk Royal's latest single, we're thrilled to present a new remix of this cut by Sundriver, another of our imprint's most decorated veterans. He has been writing euphoric, often Balearic-tinged progressive for the better part of a decade and looks forward to an exciting 2014, with several standout remixes arriving in the new few months alone. For the second track in the release, we've invited fellow progressive trance craftsman Talamanca, a first-time contributor to Silk, to remix Shingo's classic "Sapporo". Talamanca, like Sundriver, has enjoyed wonderful radio support in his career on some of the world's leading trance-centered radio shows.

Sundriver's remix of "The Four" asserts itself right out of the gate, with a driving rhythm, while uplifting pads and arps begin to infiltrate the mid-range. By the quarter turn, a symphony of melodic elements has conspired to overpower the listener with a lush and emotive soundscape. Yet, the track highlight does not occur until the break, when we are truly swept away by a light breakbeat, coupled with a mellifluous, Ibiza-influenced guitar riff. The stunning drop to follow features all of the melodic layers in harmonic unison.

Dutch talent Talamanca also starts his remix of "Sapporo" in driving fashion. We are soon met by several of the original's most memorable themes. Talamanca succeeds in making this interpretation his own by contributing numerous new variations on the lead motifs, all of which are truly breath-taking. In the main break, a powerful, trance-influenced lead is introduced, giving his take a bit of extra muscle for the dancefloor.

Parsøn [Second Hour] - Spain

Dave Parson, influenced and attracted from an early age by electronic sounds, bought their first turntables in 1999 at the age of fifteen, starting to formalise quickly, his musical style and technique by playing on numerous nightclubs, contests and private parties. At the beginning of 2004, he changes dramatically his musical style preferring Tech-House and Techno sounds.

In 2005, he starts as a resident DJ for three summer seasons in ‘AMARRAS Nightclub’ becoming known in the province of Castellon (Valencia, Spain) and sharing booth with numerous popular artists, showing his technique and style in festivals such as ‘Electro-Splash’.
In 2009 he joined the Tribeka Club working on as resident DJ for two years and demonstrating his empathy with the audience in the dance floor.

His rhythms are both elegant and forceful; with his refined technique, he pervades and unfolds greatly with all audiences.
Dave currently is experiencing the evolution of a DJ by finding his own style and conveying his full potential and sonorous thrust of his Sessions and productions to the most demanding audience.

TIMO MANDL // RAVE IS THE NEW RIOT - 100% TECHNO @ HYPE STUTTGART

It's fitting that their name sounds like a brand of Highland Scotch, because Walker & Royce produce some of the classiest house beats around. The NYC-based duo have been on our radar since achieving some cross-atlantic dark house love after releasing on Damian Lazarus' Crosstown Rebels. Now they're back with a 3-track release on Luca Venezia's freshly minted Safer at Night imprint.

The first track on the EP, "Moonlight Regatta," is a seven minute techy voyage of restrained synth tones and deep grooves. The AA-Side, "Disappear," ft. Steven Klavier keeps the tech sound, but turns up the intensity with some whompage and speed garage influences. The final track, "Iron Stan," is an atmospheric wash of blips and bloops that sounds like Hudson Mohawke's feelings.
