I have been playing on and off for many years now and do a range from traditional folk, jazz/blues standards.I write my own songs and do some covers as well  and I am open to working with people in a range of genres - I enjoy learning new ways of working and, from a selfish point of view, it helps me to develop my own style.
I am not a prolific writer but recently have produced a CD of some of my songs called Apples and Snakes if anyone wants one please contact me.
Having played around in various places (gigs that is) I feel a little sad there aren't more women/girls out there playing live music. I go to several music clubs and open mic nights in the UK and I am often the only women playing - there are a few more women singing, but not many who play an instrument as well. it is a shame there aren't more young women and girls out there creating their own music!
