Its one loudness wars-angry-barely listenable banger and a lo fi folk track about what most of these songs talk about. PREMIERE CDL \\ DJ Paypal & Stevie Whisper - Ancient Techno Production [YES] (2022)

Stevie Whisper aka Stefan Unkovic is a DJ/producer, promoter and visual artist from Belgrade. 

Raised in the vibrant hard-core scene of the early '00s, he came to be one of the pillars of the city's underground culture whose reputation started spreading beyond through work with SuperSizeShe, a collective he formed as a vehicle for bringing the independent music scene closer to his hometown, booking acts such as Ariel Pink, Mac De Marco, Dirty Beaches, The Soft Moon among many others. 

In recent years he invested more energy in flirting with different genres of contemporary club-oriented music, being a regular in the DJ booths of Belgrade's most prominent underground clubs - 20/44 and Drugstore, putting his own Yes nights as well as various events with his Mystic Stylez crew and recently got released under the Common Thread immprint from Rotterdam. 

Summer of 2018 saw Yes expanding it's operations by launching a record label. The inaugural release is a split 12" from A/O and Andria, a collaborator on two tracks from the label's second release by Whisper himself titled Donkey Milk. 

Stevie is not just leaning towards the dancefloor, he is firmly on it but the DIY ethos is never out of the frame.

Man behind YES (label / club night / podcast series), producer, DJ, visual artist and party promoter from Belgrade, he now introduces his first EP ‘Donkey Milk’ and damn it that’s good. His industrial and new-wave background are mashed and sculpted into a cinematic and dystopian techno-punk record, with loud machines sounds, spectral voices and FX and stunning basslines. After 5 years of 'Fortnightly Freebies' columns collating our favourite free downloads, we decided to do things a bit differently for the 100th chapter. Introducing 'Big Material', a 19-track 'name your price' compilation that will donate 100% of profits made to Stonewall Housing, a London-based charity supporting some of the most marginalised and vulnerable in our society.

At a time when unfair austerity is increasing inequality and leaving so many behind, we hope to support a community that has given so much to the 'scene' and music we love. Digi-dub abstractions and drifting ambient to kaleidoscopic breaks and newly-coined genre, 'subtle donk', it's a pretty accurate microcosm of the If-Only curation as a whole.

Big Material pulls together music from some of If-Only's favourite artists, with tracks from @apsychicyes, @riveryarra, Material Things (@12th-isle), @priori-ties, @nicholaswilson1982 & @steviewhisper, @benoitb, @maxabysmal, @58daniel, @bogdan-drazic, @whyesss, @twitch, @warzouk, @thomasbakk, @eyemeasure, @rdjm0, @furiousfrank, Moonphase (AKA @cl_lit), @moonbowmusic and @aki-aki.
