I am a singer songwriter producer from the North West in the  UK.....I love Jazz and Soul...in fact  all music brings me joy!, My music has had mainstream play on The BBC music app  on The Sun Lounge  show with Adam Dunning and BBC introducing  in Manchester with “ Roesh”  Jazz FM Curved Radio in Australia  and  KJazz radio UK . As a producer I create my own beats, riffs, arrangements, structures, melodies and basslines, finalise all tracks with my own mixing and mastering. Sometimes I add my own backing vocals and often write lyrics. I create all my own titles and themes, design artwork, and when i have time, promote and support other artists as much as I can, I got into music at a very early age, I love all types of sound/genres especially electronic music, hiphop/rap, house, techno, 70s soul/funk, some rock but mainly....anything that sounds good! I started making dance music with a Commodore Amiga as a young teenager and over the years, through my love of music loud, I have blown my fair share of speakers..(hence my other name "THESPEAKERBREAKER"). Stevin McNamara has been playing and recording music for over 40 years.
He is in the unique position of being an accomplished 
Composer/Musician and a Recording Engineer.
This gives him total freedom in any music/recording environment.

Born in South Africa, Stevin started learning piano and guitar at the age 
of seven. He played solo and in bands all the way through high school.
At the age of twenty one, Stevin moved to the United States, where he 
had more formal training at Berklee College of Music in Boston Mass.
He has been involved in music ever since.

Although Stevin grew up with the sounds of African Music, he also 
discovered Indian Music in the early seventies and studied the Sitar with 
Ram Chakravarty of Benares who was then professor of music at 
Wesleyan College in Connecticut.
This diverse exposure to such a broad spectrum of music, ranging from 
World to Pop has contributed to the unique musical style he has 
developed over the years.

In the late seventies, after spending considerable time as a session 
musician in recording studios, Stevin became fascinated with what was 
happening on the "other side of the glass", namely the recording process
itself. This passion developed into a highly successful career as an audio 
engineer.

He has worked in the fields of Popular music World, Folk, Jazz, Film and 
Television in top studios in South Africa, England, and the United States,
He is perfectly at home in any State of the Art recording facility, or Live 
Sound scenario, even at Stadium Concert level. He is qualified to teach 
Audio engineering at College level.

Stevin has worked with well- known producers such as Robert John "Mutt"
Lange and a huge spectrum of recording artists (see Artist List - www.yogitar.com)
- from Paul Winter to Tina Turner- from Bryan Adams to Zakir Hussein.

He now lives In Ashland Oregon where he spends his time doing 
freelance recording, original music production, and live performances

I simply don't have the time to invest in listening to fellow musicians this year so I have decided to stop my pro account.... may return in 2018 if I have more to offer and more time to listen to others on the cloud.   The last 5 years were truly special, met some wonderful artists in the process and have some fond memories.  Thank you all .

Kitchen parties are part of the cultural heritage of the Maritime provinces and you will discover that every jam has its own unique personality depending on who is sitting in the circle that evening...

The Free-Wheeling Kitchen Party House Band  is made up of musicians from different disciplines that come together every now and then in Yarmouth county, Nova Scotia, Canada to have a few drinks, tell a few stories and of course to free jam into the wee hours of the morning. The only rule of thumb is that we not play the same song twice in one evening... 

All sets are played on the fly so don't be surprised if you hear someone calling out a cord change now and then... enjoy. 

We  also started up a group on soundcloud under "Kitchen party live jaming" for anyone who might have recordings of jams with friends and fellow musicians in their basement somewhere ;)

I am not a musician but music plays a very important role in my creative life! I am an artist/designer and music is my companion and my muse in the long hours I spend working in my studio! 
I am immensely impressed and grateful for all the talented and inspiring musicians whose work graces this Cloud, and I will always re-post sounds that I love (and will listen to again) - knowing that others will enjoy them!
I feel slightly embarrassed and quite humbled when I receive such graceful messages of thanks from artists whose work I have re-posted - after-all, I am the one who is so inspired by the discovery of your brilliant music!!!
