Suffocated by my dreams terrorized by my life. Conversations in my mind creep through secret tunnels, stepping out into the light of open spaces. I feel the blood draining from my face, as I hear whispers of denial from pristine cages mingling with homeless mothers. Who loved the day and pray for another. The dying embers of freedom colors are fading into the blackest of nights. Walking through shadows that leave the mist of time, my fingers are holding fragment of what’s left of my life

In Tibetan Buddhism, Bardo is the central theme of the Bardo Thodol (literally Liberation Through Hearing During the Intermediate State), the Tibetan Book of the Dead, a text intended to both guide the recently deceased person through the death Bardo to gain a better rebirth and also to help their loved ones with the grieving process.
I wrote this tune just after my grandmother died  to help understand the joy of her spirit leaving her long long suffering body and move on to its next amazing state of being.

I have always liked the sound of the flute.
There are many of them. I was looking for a specific sound. 
But I didn't know what it was called correctly. 
Finally, years later, I found the flute I wanted. I was so happy. 
This type of flute is called "Low Whistle C#". Kind of Native American style.
I wanted to add a flute to at least one song.but then it became part of Leafage and was added to several songs. Very unexpected for me.
Also i found myself to play on some percussion (djembe) and Jew's harp (Vargan, Dan Moi)
It brings some Folk vibes to songs. Especially on this one "Resurrection" track

As an Occupational Therapist I worked in the field of mental health for about 40 years. I have also lives with anxiety my entire life which poorly led me in that career path. I have seen the devastation of mental illness and addiction in terms of what it does to the individual and family. Good for James that he found a path to recovery.
