Drawing influence from many forms of music and combining an eclectic taste with passion for minimal psychedelic trance, Intestinal Brain sound lies somewhere between dark-tech and progressive forest. While reflecting a mysterious deep style, his music is also a unique and original sound collage of organic fx, epic motives, black atmospheres and creative synthesis.

Sligh Talkbox is a versatile Hip Hop musician from Grand Rapids, MI with deep funk and g funk roots.  This veteran artist started out as a guitarist and fell in love with Hip Hop during the Golden Era in the 1990's and hasn't looked back.  Sligh began writing & producing Hip Hop in the mid 90's with a funk infused sound with catchy hooks and feel good lyrics. He expanded his skills as a musician by adding bass guitar an keyboard to his repertoire.

In 1997 Sligh released his first Hip Hop album as part of a Hip Hop duo "Love West."  He followed this album up with a solo effort "Sligh's Special Reserve" in 2000.  Both albums had some underground buzz, but Sligh would have to go back to the lab.  He released an album "Pure Gold" with the group Brothers On The Hill in 2009, but again something was missing for Sligh. 
  
Sligh went back to his funk roots.  He was a long time fan of the group Zapp & Roger.  The talkbox was an instrument that had always intrigued Sligh and 2010 the beginning of the Sligh Talkbox Era began.  Talkbox proved to be a pivotal piece of the puzzle for Sligh.  He worked hard on his talkbox skills and has now recorded talkbox features for artists all over the world.  One notable feature was "Back To The Real Years" off the album Una Vez Mas by Sursilvaz G Funk legends from Chile.

Sligh Talkbox released the LP "Sligh Boulevard" in June 2016.  This album was nominated for Hip Hop Album of the Year in West Michigan as part of the annual awards event "The Jammies."

Sligh also joined the independent record label BUSTA Phree Records in 2016. In April of 2017 Sligh joined 40 Loccsta (MacaFramA) and the Busta Phree Crew opened up for DJ Quik at the Rococo Theater in Lincoln, Nebraska.  Then in November of 2017 Sligh released MidWestCoast a collaboration album with label mate 40 Loccsta (MacaFramA).

Sligh released the critically acclaimed HEAT album on June 22, 2018.   This 19 track album includes features from g funk legends Shade Sheist, Big Havikk (Havikk the Rhime Son, South Central Cartel), Enois Scroggins, and Mr. Zagre (Sursilvaz)to name a few!   https://g-funk.ws/sligh-heat/

Mik Chek and Shaino Mainn had music influences in their life since day one. Their father listened to mainly rock, but listened to some hip hop on the side. When Mik Chek was a child, he had heard his father playing a Tupac song. He never heard hip hop before, and figured it was a rock band! Mik Chek then looked through all of his dad's rock CDs and couldn't find this song he loved so much. He finally asked his dad and came to find out that it was Tupac, a hip hop song! That is when the love for hip-hop and rap officially began. As he got older, he listened to the newest rap and hip-hop artists to always make sure he was up to date with the style. He even influenced his brother, Shaino Mainn, to like rap/hip-hop. When they hit highschool, Mik Chek started rapping for fun. At the time, Shaino was into rap but didn't forsee himself actually rapping. Mik Chek finally convinced him to do it, and ironically, he loved it too. They ended up being very talented lyrically and musically as well. For the next year they did rap as a hobby, hanging out with friends and sharing their raps. However, Mik Chek and Shaino both loved it so much, that they decided to turn it into their dream. Sleepless nights came to follow as they wrote music day in and day out. They finally dropped their first mix tape, Real Rec Real, and even were able to perform it on stage. From that moment they officially knew making music was their passion. They strive to share they're knowledge through the lyrics of their songs, in order to help change the world. During this journey they came in contact with Big Jerm, one of the producers for Wiz Khalifa. After many hours and many long days, their next mixtape, Still Grindin, was complete. It was produced fully by Big Jerm. Reaching thousands on social media, they continued they're journey. However, life unfortunately always has ups and downs. Over the summer of 2018 they lost their number one supporter, mentor, and dear father to Melanoma cancer.  Though this devastating event changed their lives forever, their passion for music grew stronger. So in memory of their father, they released the Awareness EP. They incorporated their hardships into their music, with an enlightening R&B vibe, to show people life goes on, and to tell their story. They continue to strive for greatness in honor of their father, who taught them to never back down and keep fighting for what you want in life. They currently are working on their next mixtape, periodically putting new songs out there to help build a bigger fanbase.
