Evenlight

Evening Fades

A driving indie rock track with post-rock influences. It has an uplifting and emotive melody played on guitar, layered with lead synths, and supported by strong rhythm guitar, bass, and drums. The chorus melody is supported by subtle background vocals.

I've extended this into a full track from my previous version and re-recorded it to try and capture more spontaneous takes and a sound that's a little rougher around the edges.

A dramatic, slow-building orchestral cue built around a simple repeating piano motif.

Forces Of Nature

A song for the coming season – melancholy and uplifting all at once. The sights, sounds, and smells bring out so many special feelings and heighten the senses – nature in its last dance before the winter, beauty in decay and the tinge of sadness that comes with it. I had this idea for a melody while playing the mandolin that spends most of its time hanging on the wall. The piece naturally evolved, undulating between reflection and celebration, and is the kind of piece that, for me, would only come to life at this time of the year.
