Over the years, Berlin has been cited as Oliver Koletzki's main point of reference and, more importantly, his endless source of inspiration. His albums Großstadtmärchen and Großstadtmärchen 2 are wholehearted tributes of the German capital, as its importance is continuously hinted and charted. Friedrichshain, one of Berlin's vibrant districts, has always held a special place in Oliver's heart. This is where he started out when he first moved to the city, and this is where he lives now. Kreuzberg's wall paintings adorn Stil vor Talent's cover sleeves and host their headquarters. There are little to no corners in the city that haven't brought a spark of inspiration into the mix. The lush 'Reverie' is a gorgeous melodic house track that builds in captivating stages. The smooth groove is overlaid with circling loops of twinkling pads and, eventually, big, broad bass strokes arrive to add weight and deeper emotions. It's the sort of star-gazing tune to trap you in a trance in the middle of the dance floor during the depths of the night.

Both as a standalone tune, and as part of the compilation, this is an essential new offering from the continually excellent Stil Vor Talent label and the hotly tipped Sainte Vie.

Short Info:

Panamanian producer Carlos Barbero joined forces on their debut EP with the Turkish producer Enes Cakır featuring one of our favourite artists, full of colors from the Caribbean, Aquarius Heaven.

'Faces' channels a high energy single with a jagged-edge, buzzing synth arpeggio at the core of the track. The distinctive vocals from Aquarius Heaven provided the perfect foil for this aggressive bottom end, percussive elements lift the track further as the mechanical beats slam away, making it a massive dancefloor weapon.

To complement the release, we were delighted to invite the italian producer Musumeci for remix duties. Provided also an outstanding version that kept the synth arpeggio and vocals as main elements of the track, while adding up some dronning bassline and snare rolls to make it more intense.

Ring the alarm - multi-instrumentalist Jimi Jules scheduled for the album „+“ in 2022, executive produced by Innervisions label boss Dixon. The album features the most sought after and requested tracks of the last month including „My City's On Fire“, revolutionary „Der Aufstand“, dancefloor romance „Burning“ and „Clinomania“ featuring Joy Tyson, and fabulous Lily Allen / Elton John drummer Nathan Curran. The artwork concept is developed and designed by iconic graphic artist Trevor Jackson, whose multi-disciplinary works formed the graphical identities of design, music, fashion, and art by the likes of Soulwax, HFD / Comme des Garcons or Apple Music. Jimi Jules’ second album signifies his return to future-focussed album concepts. A welcomed novelty and venture. Exploring themes such as free thoughts and togetherness after a period of interpersonal absence. Better Together Forever.

A unique character in the electronic music scene, Jimi Jules is a multi-instrumentalist and school-trained musician with much more to offer than the standard four-to-floor sound. Jimi plays nearly everything from drums to trumpet and sings almost all the vocals himself. The talent probably lies in his roots, as many of his family members are known for their playing in jazz bands and classical ensembles. Most recently awarded a silver disk marking 200,000 copies of the 2020 track “Pushin On” in the UK, Jimi Jules also commenced a new collaborative partnership with Berlin-based booking agency, Temporary Secretary, earlier this year. 

As the new era is underway for Innervisions, Jimi Jules “+” takes center stage of the label’s fundamental core - artist first, label second. For Jimi Jules especially, this new project represents the beginning of a whole new platform and innovative space for collaborations and symbiosis of mixed media.

Sifa is back with another richly infused EP of house music on Capsule Music. He is a long-time creative talent from Brussels who has brought unique musical styles on a range of labels such as Kompakt, Sol Selectas, MoBlack Records in the past.

Weighing Of The Heart is first with a slick groove that has real snap. A wonky synth line brings fresh energy up top and an enchanting Middle Eastern vocal ensures plenty of dance floors will lose their heads to this one.

Capsule feat. Aquarius Heaven is a cosmic house cut with delicate and bright synths pacing about the mix as legendary vocalist Aquarius Heaven offers his deep lyrics over the top.

After the instrumental comes Phase II, a mad synth workout that will melt the mind while fresh drums hop and bounce below.

These are inventive and original cuts as always from Sifa.

Roe Deers presents his fascinating debut full-length Salt Town Boy, a leftfield collection of wild sonic tales filled with dusky moods and punk attitude. The first LP to be released on Good Skills, the label Roe Deers runs with BDHBTS co-conspirator Titas Motuzas, the album brings together tracks produced in his Vilnius studio over the past six years. It also features a series of unique storytelling vocal contributions from an international list of friends and colleagues.
Roe Deers is a Lithuanian-based project led by Liudas Lazauskas. A regular at Vilnius institution Opium and a key member of the city’s fertile scene, he’s long been breaking the rules of genre in his explorations of the uncharted territories of murky electronic music, releasing on labels like Omnidisc, Turbo, Nein Records and Throne Of Blood.
The Salt Town of the album’s title is Druskininkai, the Lithuanian spa resort where Roe Deers grew up and first began DJing at a venue run by his parents. The breadth of styles and moods he was exposed to from an early age can be heard across these 12 intriguing tracks, which blend elements of beat science, electroclash, post punk, italo, krautrock and EBM into a deliciously intoxicating brew.
The skewed motorik pulse of opener and lead single ‘Trident’, featuring apocalyptic intonations by French-Canadian lyricist C.A.R., sets an offbeat, ominous tone that prevails for the rest of the album. Vocal contributions from Israeli producer Niv Ast (‘Late Night Tale’), Norwegian troublemaker Sex Judas (‘Rodeo King’) and Berlin-based singer Aquarius Heaven (‘Walking Down The Streets’) each bring out the moods – vampish, febrile, industrial – that permeate Roe Deers’s textured, percussive productions. At the album’s centre are two tracks that point to the past and possible future of the Roe Deers project: first, ‘Thème’ features French post punk band Order89 in a compelling disco-noir moment that recalls his earlier club EPs; then, regular collaborator Palmės Žiedas provides Lithuanian vocals for ‘Tarp Raudonų Šviesų’ (‘Between Red Lights’), a frenzied howl of a track that fits an entire film score into its short three minutes.
The instrumental pieces on the album have their own stories to tell, from the dusty dive bar meditation of ‘Flying Carpets’ to the paranoid proto-techno pulse of ‘Celebrity Theme’ and the 11-minute cyclical epic ‘Never - Ending -’. As the last moments of cinematic closer ‘Fin’ play out, we realise that our trip down the twisted paths of Roe Deers’s beguiling sound world is coming to an end; but we also know that to go back in again all we have to do is press play.
Roe Deers will be launching the Salt Town Boy LP with a live performance and DJ set in Vilnius. The album will be followed by a remixes EP.
