Following on from his debut instalment, 'Cracked', released earlier this year, Jean René Lai returns on Stil vor Talent with his eagerly anticipated new EP, 'Close To Me'. In Lai's own admission a firm favourite amongst his own catalogue of productions, 'Close To Me' blazes with that deep, intimate fire within, elegantly bridging the gap between floor-functionality and far-reaching emotion. A minutely arranged display of Lai's many talents for crafting intensely touching melodies alongside haunting rhythms, the lead-single fringes the junction of ethereal pop, deep house and atmospheric techno on a nostalgic tip. An escapist's dream, brushing a most vivid tableau of moody ambience and piercing honesty, and elevating the listener to higher spheres of consciousness with every bar as the voice iterates its mesmerising mantra. More of a hip-swaying affair, 'OK you feel' retains that signature sense of washed-out melancholy but fleshes it out with further volatile synth-smithery and dubbed-out drum programming, sound designed and layered to subjugating effect. The result is a tune that packs both a nasty club-busting ability and that insane waves-ready pop potential, which you can't help but see taking dance floors by storm this summer and beyond.

Ein wahrer Küstenjunge, der die kühle Brise der Ostsee liebt und lebt, hat sich seit seiner Kindheit der Musik verschworen. Schon früh lernte er den Umgang mit Instrumenten kennen und entwickelte eine Hingabe für das musikalische Geschehen. Mit den ersten Besuchen im Schützenhouse Marlow im Jahre 2009 verschlug es ihn dann zur elektronischen Musik. Schnell kaufte er sich seine ersten Equipments zusammen, um seine Fertigkeiten zu üben und weiterzuentwickeln. 
Namen wie Oliver Koletzki, Oliver Huntemann, Solomun und Carlo Ruetz prägten seine heutigen technoiden Einflüsse, die in seinen Sets zu hören sind. Druckvolle Bässe und verträumte Melodien zeichnen seinen Stil aus, welches dem Zuhörer auf eine Reise der Sinnesgefühle mitnehmen soll.

A true coastal boy, who loves and lives the cool breeze of the Baltic Sea, has conspired with music since his childhood. Early he became acquainted with the use of instruments and developed a dedication for the musical happenings. With the first visits to Schützenhouse Marlow in 2009, he turned to electronic music. He quickly bought his first equipment to practice and develop his Skills.
Names such as Oliver Koletzki, Oliver Huntemann, Solomun, and Carlo Ruetz were the hallmarks of his modern technoid influences, which can be heard in his sets. Pressureful basses and dreamy melodies characterize his style, which should take the listener on a journey of the senses.
