We are delighted to bring Danny Oliveira's legendary alias DNYO for an intriguing debut EP on Timeless Moment.

Danny Oliveira has been a hell of a prolific producer on the last 10 years, releasing tons of tracks under his name and under many alias such as Danny Loko, Rave Child and Citizen One, just citing a few of them. With a distinct ability to produce very fresh and unique sounds he was able to release his tracks on labels such as Last Night on Earth, Anjunadeep, Microcastle and more. But none of his alias captivated the love of Progressive fans so strongly as DNYO.

For this very special DNYO comeback Danny Oliveira delights us with 'Cypher', an impeccable production with dark atmospheres that contrast brilliantly to its blissful melodies and sensual vocals. Presents us with 'Mirage', a powerful peak time Techno with retro trance melodies and strong dance floor appeal. Finally, Danny hypnotizes us with 'Drifter', a progressive journey through magical plucks and subtly layered bass lines, amazingly wrapping up what is going to be, for sure, one release for the ages.

microCastle returns for its third release of 2018, welcoming Kevin Jamey aka Groj to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Montreal, the Canadian artist shot into the spotlight this year with a trio of releases on fryhide. Kevin’s unique combination of rich design, compelling melodies and new wave vocal stylings have made him one of the underground’s most intriguing acts. The festival anthem ‘To Know You’, coupled with his HOSH collaboration ‘Jedi’, made for a hugely successful summer season. Now making his much anticipated microCastle debut, Groj presents his 'Bunk Up' artist showcase alongside a remix from Clarian.

Spread across four tracks 'Bunk Up' is a collection which transcends barriers and captures the imagination of electronic music connoisseurs. Beginning with the spirited vibes of the title cut, it becomes immediately apparent just how far Groj’s artistic scope reaches. Pulsating energies move in free flowing fashion, as esoteric vocals pierce the air, while impassioned melodies add a hopeful charm. Much like the Canadian's live shows where emotive shifts are at a premium, the narrative evolves into the techno inspired beats of ‘Five Roses’. Raw and industrial at points yet melodic and moving at others, it’s a dramatic creation perfectly dialled for a clued up dance floor. Prophetic in delivery, the storyboard then melts down into the EP’s closer ‘Rhyody’; a reflective, uplifting slice of melodic minimalism that’s already found favour with Dixon and Âme. 

The lone interpretation of ‘Bunk Up’ is provided by Clarian who also makes his label debut here. The renowned musician and Montreal native has long been one of electronic music's most fascinating artists. His fresh, organic and masterfully creative productions have found a home on Life & Death, Kompakt, Turbo Recordings, Rumors, Anjunadeep and My Favorite Robot. Now fresh off collaborations with Tiga and Felix Da Housecat, along with the release of his debut album ‘Television Days’, Clarian makes his microCastle debut with a stunning rendition of ‘Bunk Up’. Synonymous with creating innovative, out-of-the-box productions, the Canadian artist draws on the new wave techno sensibilities of the original, reinventing them in an eccentric blend of 80's nostalgia and quirky psychedelia.

The final composition aptly reflects both artists. ‘Bunk Up’ is an elegant and evocative EP that artfully balances its nostalgic hints with a resolutely modern stimulus.

Out Of Sorts - Grenada Village

Born and bred in New Zealand, Barton and Hayden Strom make up the production and DJ duo Out of Sorts. The brothers have been building a reputation for slick, weaponized tech house, primarily under a series of other monikers such as Antix, Fiord and Triangle. Here, Audiomatique release two prime examples of the Out of Sorts sound with the Grenada Village EP. 

'Holy Toledo' pays homage to the legendary Brazilian surfer of the same name, taking inspiration from his graceful power. A thick, smooth moog voyager bass line cuts through the mix to provide the bedrock for a fully primed dancefloor bomb. 

The second track is 'Worzel Gummidge', named after the children's TV scarecrow of the 80s and 90s. The track also has a playful side with the interplay between the synth stab and marimba, but also shows its serious side through another slick bass line that locks you into the hypnotic groove.

On a spacious tone, Nothing Matters' atmospheres unfold as dark and minimalistic, with synth lines and beats slightly expanded for the intro, gradually swelling up into a palette of magnetic, introspective sounds.

Staying true to its name, The Spell ropes you in early on, as swirling patterns take shape. Vertiginous synths accented by hi-hats and lilting arpeggios take centre stage and make for a discombobulating peak point, all arranged with a polished approach.

Title track Escape lays down sturdy beats from the get-go, as its highly captivating bassline sets the tone. Intense yet playful, the plump groove and coarse synths build up an intense ambiance leading to an exhilarating release.
