Blue Eyes Blinded is the new Berlin-based live act from two established names in the electronic music world: Alexander Schug, former frontman of the acclaimed live act BONDI, and Daniel Jaeger, a celebrated Berlin producer, DJ, and resident of the renowned "Bordel des Arts" series. Schug’s unmistakable voice and emotive songwriting have graced releases on labels such as Bar 25 Music, Einmusika Recordings, and 3000° Records, while Jaeger’s deep, groove-driven productions and masterful sound design have earned him recognition far beyond Germany’s borders.

With their debut EP, "Here Comes The Light", they present what they describe as Alternative House, a new fusion of emotive songwriting, cinematic textures, and club-ready grooves. The title track, "Here Comes The Light", blends heartfelt melodies with dynamic rhythms, while "Isolated" explores a more introspective mood, balancing depth and energy.

Drawing from backgrounds in alternative rock, blues, and Berlin’s house music scene, Blue Eyes Blinded are carving out a fresh space in electronic music, crafting tracks that are immersive, personal, and memorable, and setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting new chapter for both artists.

Summer is slowly but surely coming to an end and the nights are getting longer again. What could be more fitting than an EP called Night Shades? Responsible for this is Berlin artist Jiggler, one half of former Bar 25 favourite Channel X. He has been causing a stir with his solo project for many years, including releases on Stil vor Talent and Katermukke. The first track, Night Shades, which shares its name with the EP, captivates with its driving groove and wonderfully dreamy yet uplifting lead synth. With the second original, Voyager, the journey through the night continues seamlessly, albeit in a more rousing and darker way. Jiggler is supported by a total of three artists with their own interpretations of the originals: Richard Elcox, the Scottish Berliner by choice, who was already playing around with his brother's Korg MS-20 at the age of 11 and the well-known Matija and Contenance here in Zurich. The former has been part of the local scene for over three decades, the latter is well on his way to emulating Matija.

Opener Sympathy bounces along to a slow string build up, as the crescent lead culminates in a mellifluous yet tense breakdown. It’s a number that packs up a lot of understated dynamism, which carries onto the second track signed by the Hungarian producer. Continuing on the same mystical note, with a minimalist percussion and radiating synths carving out the melody, Jungle Adventure slows down the pace while maintaining the first track’s energy.

UK duo Mia Mendi explore minimal atmospheres in Scriba, a tune that’s all about its groove, a propulsive and trance-inducing journey powered by its hypnotic bassline and claps. Luxuria follows in its path, furthering the journey into deep territory, with the added power of an exotic vocal lead and percussive embellishments that keep things interesting.
