Formerly known as Abandon but now solo artists, Minoas Cirillo & Timothée Toussaint join up once more for the stunning new single 'Love Yourself Accept Yourself' featuring remixes from PBR Streetgang and Francesco Mami.

Germany-based, Greek/Italian Cirillo and Belgian Toussaint first came together in 2017 as Abandon to share their love of early 90's deep house. Since then they have gone their separate ways but continued to tell musical stories with modern designs and absorbing atmospheres on labels like Bar 25 Music and many others while also making their mark on clubs and festivals around Europe.

'Love Yourself Accept Yourself' includes visceral vocal samples from NYC street performer Matthew Silver who decries the government before encouraging everyone to love and accept themselves. It's a potent message once paired with Cirillo and Toussaint's party starting drum funk and lively synth energy. The keys are full of tenderness while the percussion bristles on and bass surges keep you locked in the groove.

Leeds legends, Futureboogie associates and bonafide house and disco favourites PBR Streetgang step up to remix. Their version is heavier, with punchy kicks and more spaced-out cosmic synth work building a steamy and more intense dance floor vibe. Francesco Mami is known for collaborative techno albums with David Hasert but is also an assured solo artist as he shows with this remix. It's an atmospheric mix of the original vocals with the cries and whistles of those watching on, additional rapped vocals and surging house drums bringing fresh energy.

One of the TAU family’s prodigious talents, Upercent, returns for a four-track expedition into the creative expanse of his brilliant mind. Upercent’s unique sound, blending organic with synthetic and unorthodox effects, has captivated dance floors around the world.

The EP opens with ‘Tranqui Tronco’, a nifty roller driven by dense percussion. A repeated vocal motif appears as the intro guides the listener into the first breakdown. Upercent’s use of unusual sounds and effects demonstrate his unmistakable sonic fingerprint, as the cut increases in vibrancy. Another breakdown raises the temperature even higher and the track rolls out with the same contagious, driving rhythm.

‘Nuquelar’ follows, with a deep tribal rhythm oscillating at its core. As we dive head first into this cut, hefty drums and a range of urgent chimes and instrumental licks add depth. Warped vocals are also looped into the fold, creating a cacophony of odd sounds as Upercent carefully builds the tension with a huge breakdown. The energetic release brings us back down to Earth with the persistent rumble of booming drums taking the track to its conclusion.

The penultimate cut is ‘Tempesta’, another dark and dense composition. Upercent’s talent for keeping it simple yet engaging, and just that little bit different, is evident here from the very start. This cut’s dramatic narrative keeps you locked in, as the percussion especially plays out a captivating story. A moment of peaceful reflection is injected at the midpoint, before we’re immersed in sonic theatrics once more. Moody drums and solemn bass giving this one its gloomy atmosphere.

Finally, ‘Ruta’ closes the EP with its insistent energy. In typical Upercent style, this cut develops in a considered manner with layers of sound building steadily, cultivating a sinister atmosphere. The voice of a maniacal character enters the fray halfway through, accentuating the unsettling vibes. An ominous tone pervades throughout, leaving the listener fully immersed in the dark side as the EP comes to an end...

Right on cue for extended action throughout the even busier part of the summer ahead of us, here comes Gespona's third Stil vor Talent transmission, 'Acridis Talk', after his previous two 2022-released studio efforts, 'Kune' and 'Magota'. Hailing from Barcelona, Gespona champions a sound both sensually deep and openly groove and percussion-focussed, which echoes well the type of sound he tries to bring on stage. Armed with his Elektron Digitone and Moog Sub 37, the Spanish producer pulls out a quartet of essentially tribal-minded tunes designed to fit any moment of the night, in terms of both rhythm and ambience, harnessed for proper explosive peak-time business and further spacious atmospheric sorties in equal measure.Beating a martial pulse, 'Helicon' goes hard in the paint with its cleverly engineered mix of hi-intensity EBM tropes, sizzling tech outbursts and lavishly hued synth envelopes from outer space, gaining maximal momentum up until about halfway in, when the wildest break/drop combo ensures to have you taking a tumble into the greater void. A more subliminal, delay-heavy piece of 4x4 expression, the title-track 'Acridis Talk' trades the linear buildup of the opener for the kind of syncopate swagger one would be hard pressed to resist. Befogged under a thick haze of FX and processed machine talk, the track evolves into a fiery pseudo-acid/indus slasher, murky and oddly rousing as it gets. Perhaps the epitome of Gespona's signature moody ambivalence and thorough floor-destroying acuity.Recorded in collaboration with fellow Barcelona-based Argentinian producer Djolee, 'Colorblind' showcases the housier, more atemporal facet of Gespona's work. Laying down a feverish assembly of soulful vocals out the classic mid-90s house repertoire and more exploratory keyboard work on a kosmische tip, the pair has us transfixed with their highly infectious blend of ancestral vibes and ultramodern groove. Together with Buenos Aires' rising talent Abuk, the Barcelona maestro shifts focus onto more intricate polyrhythms, treating the odd Latin / piano house classic to a vibrant facelift, as it nimbly swings the pendulum between elegant melodic brittleness and no-prisoner, bass-laden floor menace. Two years on since his latest incursion on Stil vor Talent with 'The Pictures', Switzerland-based producer Kellerkind turns in his newest four-tracker, 'Forest Mystery'. Delving in his natural inclination towards mystique-imbued tribal sounds, this new effort packs a serious Afro-futuristic kind of punch, laced with a powerhouse hi-tech feel bound to cut a path of devastation across the dance floors. Fully designed and kitted out to meet the requirements of extensive DJ use, this new package lets its whirlwind of polyrhythmic boogie and cosmic groove do the talk as Kellerkind ushers us in a blazing furnace of sorts.

On “Candyflip”, the third sneak peek of his forthcoming “Trip to Sanity” album, Oliver Koletzki shifts gear and puts the pedal to the metal. Earlier this year Sean and Amber aka Kakura made their Manual Music debut by releasing the well received single 'Witcher' / 'Vermillion' and now they are back with another excellent double A-sider.

'Dakha' is the opening track, a tribal infused intense melodic track with a clear warehouse / modern day rave vibe. 'Kalimba' continues on the same path, full of tribal rhythms and roaring synths. These guys truly have a unique timeless sound which isn't easy to pigeonhole.

First up on remix duties it's Lex Ludlow known for her output on Atomnation and her own BØXBØX imprint. She's the perfect addition to this single because she's also wary of trends and clichés. Her interpretation of Dakha is just pure deep underground electronic music as it should be.

The release ends on a positive note with Amir Telem's uplifting remix. Created around a warm synth theme, this melodic tension builder gets you right in the mood for an Indian summer.
