Over the years, Berlin has been cited as Oliver Koletzki's main point of reference and, more importantly, his endless source of inspiration. His albums Großstadtmärchen and Großstadtmärchen 2 are wholehearted tributes of the German capital, as its importance is continuously hinted and charted. Friedrichshain, one of Berlin's vibrant districts, has always held a special place in Oliver's heart. This is where he started out when he first moved to the city, and this is where he lives now. Kreuzberg's wall paintings adorn Stil vor Talent's cover sleeves and host their headquarters. There are little to no corners in the city that haven't brought a spark of inspiration into the mix. Yoni Yarchi's latest release on Everything Will Be OK is a powerful serving of two soulful, atmospheric tracks that will take listeners on the journey of a lifetime.

Featuring the Israeli producer's trademark shimmering pads and mysterious vocals, Yoni's Hydra EP is a hypnotising tour through two of the greatest expanses: outer space and the sea.

Both Hydra and Another Galaxy find Yoni displaying his immense talents, employing calming melodies and complex drums to slow the listener down, and then pull them along faster.

On Hydra, Yoni uses long, winding pads and fractured, echoing vocals to create a state of meditation, before awakening us with a deep, controlling groove.

Meanwhile, we find Yoni crafting glistening synths and poignant melodies to transport us to a new galaxy. Another Galaxy has the feel of interstellar travel, slowing down halfway to take in the twinkling stars of the grand cosmic opera, before pushing us ahead at lightspeed with a thundering, pulsating breakdown.

The two productions are supported by a trilogy of remixes from Joe Miller, Amir Telem, and Ivan Sandhas, who each bring their unique sound to the EP to create something truly special.

After releases on sister labels MNL and Magnitude Recordings, a couple of well received free downloads + a remix for Namatjira on Manual Music, it's finally time for Eleven Sins to make his official solo EP debut on the label. We're proud to present the 'Playground EP'.

The release kicks off with the infectious and uplifting song 'Grasshopper'. Incredibly funky and a tiny bit quirky, this is definitely a unique one! The title track 'Playground' has that same funk and drive as the opening track, this time with strong ethnic influenced melodies, whilst 'Panda' takes you by surprise with its broken beats and intense tension which has a continuous presence.

PREMIERE: Initial Eyes - Orwellian State (Extended Mix) [Polyptych]

The Selador family goes pan-global once again, with our latest continent-spanning release
being the result of a pandemic induced collaboration between Carlos Barbero (Panama)
and Enes Çakir (Turkey), with Germany’s Jepe and Ede (Turkey, currently based in
Germany) on remix duties. All are making their Selador debuts, and we couldn’t be
happier.
Of course, Messrs Seaman & Parry always have ears and eyes permanently open for
forward thinking new music, be it on their DJ travels or during a pandemic – and this single
is proof that we are a label that does listen to demos. Be it via email, Whats App or
Messenger, the Selador is never closed.
Carlos has been building himself quite a reputation in Central America, sharing club and
festival stages with the likes of Re.You, Anja Schneider, Oliver Koletzki whilst Enes runs
the Dawgs Musik company in Istanbul for events and podcasts, and has played alongside
the likes of James Zabiela, Timo Maas – and Dave Seaman. It was a perfect case of
isolation creation when the two hooked up during lockdown to make ‘Wake Up’, inviting
Seher K to add the cherry on top
.
All three interpretations feature Seher’s breathy vocal, pleasingly acidic squelchiness, and
just the right amount of electronic menace.
Carlos and Enes’ Original mix has a metallic sheen, with competing hooks but everything
in the right place as the sonic stars align
.
Jepe’s remix opens with the thud of a powerful kick drum and a psycho killer bassline, and
takes us deeper, with the vocal more imposing in the mix
.
Ede’s mix, by contrast, is a funky breaks- driven acidic builder, an ethereal vibe set by the
snatched vocal samples, a Mediterranean vibe
.
