The Portuguese talent signs a beautifully crafted release, combining all his skills for a myriad of aural sensations in 4 formidable tracks. Alican is the perfect guest to put the finishing touch with a high-flying remix.

"Portraits" leads the way. With a surgeon's subtlety, Jepe delights us with his most sensual side. A waste of elegant and warm sounds, accompanied by a masterful Vars who with his voice enhances the beauty of a track for fine ears. Activate your senses, Jepe is in the house.

"Wutzsee" is the second track of this story. Once you've warmed up, it's time to tighten the screws. Showing his versatility, the Portuguese virtuoso changes his jacket to show us another of his facets. A rhythm marked with a melody that advances stealthily towards the abyss. While the esteemed Berlin-based artist, DJ and Stil vor Talent label-owner Oliver Koletzki can look back onto an impressive career since his 2005 debut release ‘Der Mückenschwarm’ on Sven Väth’s Cocoon, he challenges the status quo with every single new production and set, drawing from an ever-evolving plethora of styles and moods. Inspired by his extensive travels around the globe, which have taken him from the deserts of Burning Man, Rainbow Serpent and Coachella to the beaches of Tulum, Tel Aviv, Ibiza and beyond, Oliver’s output shines with the maturity of an artist at the top of his game and the playfulness of a youthfully curious mind. Testament to the fact were his last albums ‘The Arc of Tension’ (2017), ‘Fire in the Jungle’ (2019) and ‘Made of Wood’ (2021) – a trilogy exploring the musical space between organic psychedelia and synthetic floor-focus. Meanwhile, Oliver has continuously enabled, fostered and furthered the artistic paths of countless musicians. Looking back over the past 18 years, Township Rebellion, Reinier Zonneveld, KlangKuenstler or HVOB are just a few of many names that link to his label Stil vor Talent. In 2023, he released his 10th longplayer “Trip to Sanity” and embarked on a live concert tour, marking yet another milestone of his tenure at the forefront of contemporary electronic music.

I was pretty excited to finally return to Afrikaburn and the Spirit Train after 7 years. When I saw how many people gathered in front of Lobo that Thursday at midnight I was more than happy! It was a very special set that I will never forget and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do!

Continuing his pursuit of the most anthemic next thrill, Stil vor Talent head exec Oliver Koletzki returns to the label with a vengeance. Fusing reggaean vibrations with that new wavey techno sensibility of his (think Depeche Mode on a trip to Kingston, Jamaica), 'Finding Love' sees Koletzki exploring the frontier between downtempo Caribbean pop and a pure driving electro throb. Shifting gears between a proper broken techno backbone onto the further syncopated alphabet of low-slung dance hall vocals, 'Finding Love' alternates sequences of sheer vaporous oneirism with that of a fleet-footed bassy workout laced with splatters of 80s synth-pop, ready to set any dance floor ablaze and turn entire crowds of ravers upside down. Up on remix duty, Berlin-based French producer Temple Tears punches in with a distinctly stealth weapon for the darker hours of the night. All in sturdier bass curves and jacking punch, the track is bound to cut a path of destruction this summer with its untamed EBM horsepower and hard-nosed house bounce straight out the basement. A Janus-faced single, providing the DJs with two very different levels of club oomph and situational response.

Doped on an anthemic chorus and strapping, bass-heavy crescendo, the track reels off as a proper monster club-buster, tailored to whip up crowds into a frenzy. Trading the more corseted groove of the lead track for a further jagged, arrhythmic bounce, 'I Don't Wanna' is electronic dance music at its sauciest.
