Final single lifted from their eagerly awaited debut long-player due for release via Stil vor Talent on July 14, Esther Silex and Heiko Tubbesing's latest instalment 'Ameca' is the very epitome of Almost Falling's signature sound. Commixing up-to-date societal awareness with an unflinching club-focussed grammar, Esther and Heiko invite their listener to take a pause and think things through, using the dancer's body as a prism of communication as much as their lyrics play a key role in transporting that "free-spirited up-bringing right into your living room" they've come to champion.
Cold-as-truth spoken word, fragmented pop motifs and cold wavey riffs merge organically on Almost Falling's lead-single 'Ameca', an ode to the duo's capacity at digesting its time and era through hybrid compositions, never quite picking a side between functionality and pensiveness. Minimal in essence yet making optimal use of the Prophet 12's transportive qualities, or the Moog Sub 37's versatility (all processed through Ableton), the tracks here presented exhibit Esther and Heiko's sense of spatialisation and songwriting in intoxicating fashion.
A contrasting tale of digital / IRL ambiguity, 'Rain' has us dipping toes in cinematic grounds thanks to its haunting strings, whilst incisive trap patterns and a wailing bass chops it all up post-modern style. Perhaps the roughest, most in-your-face track off the package, 'Roots' draws back to the duo's trip-hop-informed origins. Unfolding the mantra of not letting your roots hold you down, Almost Falling encourages us to learn how to move with the flow and reinvent ourselves, without cutting off the mooring lines that hold our past, present and future together. 'Ameca' is an oath of truth.

Berlin based DJ/Producer, MPathy, developed a strong interest for electronic music at a very young age. Growing up in the city of Berlin he was highly influenced by the electronic music scene in the 90’s. He later spent a couple of years in Chicago and also in Shanghai where he got involved with the local electronic music scenes, which ultimately shaped his outlook on electronic music today. Now running Berlin based Ethereal Techno label Steyoyoke, we are pleased to present 'Flurr' by MPathy on our Krafted Underground label with two fantastic remixes.

The first from Spanish DJ/Producer LORRAINNE who adds her usual melodic techno flavour to the original and we welcome Juliane Wolf for the first time on Krafted who has recently had a release on The Soundgarden as well as running her own Wizarding Wolf label.

For the fifth and final single in advance of his “Trip to Sanity” album, Oliver Koletzki teams up with a true heavyweight of the scene – the techno-pop-legend that is Fritz Kalkbrenner. The result, “Heart on Hold”, marries Kalkbrenner’s unmistakable vox and emotive lyrics with Koletzki’s punchy production, lacing atmospheric synths through a brooding bass-line and driving beat.

Bulgarian allrounder Pavel Petrov and Stil vor Talent faves Hidden Empire each then bring their own unique touch to “Heart on Hold” by way of two contrasting remixes. One debut follows another: Next up on Stil vor Talent Zoo Brazil and Anthony Middleton's “Good Times" combines the result of a longstanding friendship and their first incursion on the label while delivering a true dancefloor anthem.

Anthony Middleton kickstarted his career DJing in iconic Marbella clubs and refining production skills at a pioneering UK music technology school in the mid-90s. His musical journey led him to the vibrant dance music scene in London. Meanwhile, Zoo Brazil, also known as John Andersson, earned Grammy and Brit Awards nominations, solidifying his reputation as an innovative and respected figure in dance music.
Guided by a shared affinity for analogue exploration, the duo employed an arsenal of vintage and modern gear, including the Vintage ARP 2600, Moog Model D, SSL AWS 900+se Console, and more. The resulting composition, “Good Times,” has seamlessly woven haunting melancholy into an irresistibly groovy symphony.
As a testament to its prowess, the track has been a closely guarded secret weapon in the DJ sets of both Zoo Brazil and Anthony for over a year.
