As we prepare to ring in the new year, we are excited to welcome back a Cityfox Experience veteran, Baikal. Having cofounded the Maeve imprint with mates Mano Le Tough and The Drifter, Baikal brings a deep breadth of production and DJ'ing experience to build his incredibly deep sound.

This set encapsulates what makes him so unique: it's a patient multi-layered build that seamlessly melds tracks of styles you wouldn't otherwise attribute to the same one hour set. At times it's softly melodic, at times mechanical and industrial, but always steadily increasing pressure while being, very simply, flatout hypnotic.

Leader of the @biotechnologydensiflora music platform and event series, promoting what is cosmic, psychedelic, organic and hypnotic in techno. Co-founder of the Densiflora platform, promoting house, techno and breakbeat with a deep or progressive character. His selection is best defined by the projects he is behind. In terms of techno-oriented version, he seeks to bridge the gap between a hypnotic, minimalist sound, motoric grooves and broken or tribal beats. In the more house-oriented version, he seeks a balance between deep depth and ecstatic atmospheres. Tranceiness is the common denominator of both musical versions, which allows them to be combined as required. He has performed at signature events such as @uptodatefestival, @instytuttechno, @las-festival and @crescent-london. He has shared the stage with artists such as @djnobu_bitta, @steffi_official, @edit-select, @valentinomora, @shl-mo, @justineperry and @setaoc_mass.

Disco segued to electro-funk ('85) and then Acid House ('88), which led to Techno ('92), which gradually encompassed a wide selection of CD and some vinyl. Today little contemporary music reaches me and which, I guess, would be considered “electronic music”, I usually don’t find very exciting. As with everything, there is WAY too much of the same out there, and stuff that surprises me is rare. The current state of affairs, may it be in electronic music or other fields, is very similar everywhere. The point in history, where electronic music had no other template than one’s own imagination is certainly over. The very templates of the past have made the creation of new, unknown templates almost impossible. This is a structural issue of the genre that has transformed it into its current state. That being said, electronic music seems to have lost a lot of its sincerity. Via this account, nothing but high-quality, 'sincere' music is shared.
