Veering from tech house to the less definable reaches of bass-driven house music, Tom Budden’s ALiVE Recordings has carved out a name as one of the UK’s most dependable and forward-thinking labels since its launch in 2008.

Early releases received support from the likes of Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin and Luciano, while the likes of James Zabiela, Richy Ahmed, John Digweed, Catz N Dogz, Groove Armada, M A N I K and Danny Howells are just a few of the other names to feature ALiVE releases in their sets. It’s a label with a diverse output and a correspondingly wide appeal.

Along the way, ALiVE has featured material from serious talents like Shadow Child, Waifs & Strays, Arnaud Le Texier, NTFO, Leftwing & Kody, Yousef, Shall Ocin, Worthy, Audiojack, Inxec and Echomen - giving hefty support to many new names alongside more established forces.

Recent years have seen the label push a darkly-tinged, tough-edged sound imbued with the heritage of UK dance music, with tinges of rave and hardcore clashing heads with ALiVE’s techy backbone.

Born in Lecco in 1989, Otto started playing music since he was a child, delving into the world of both classical and electric guitar.

Until the age of 19, he experimented with various instrumental genres within different bands, spanning from Metal, Rock, Punk to indie.
From 2009, he began nurturing his passion for electronic sounds by enrolling in the Electronic Music course at the Conservatory of Como. This marked the beginning of his experimentation, producing initial sounds and composing his first tracks, gravitating towards hard-electronic tones and witnessing a rise in his initial streams on platforms.

In 2012, he became a co-founder of a Hard music project, leading him to contracts with various labels such as Traxtorm Records and Audiogenic Records until 2017, allowing him to tour Europe as a DJ, courtesy of a renowned Dutch booking agency.

In 2017, due to health issues, he decided to step away from the project, dedicating his time to building his own Home Studio and producing various musical genres for emerging artists in the area, thereby honing his production skills.

In 2022, he chose to return to producing music for himself, leaning towards Techno sounds, resuming DJ performances in local venues and initiating a new project under the name OTTO BEAT, reminiscent of his first artistic name used 15 years prior but reimagined in a Techno context, exploring sounds between 130 and 135 BPM, drawing influences from his entire musical journey.

From the age of 15 Cees started playing with records and turntables. He experimented with many styles to finally find his home in the combination of the genres techno, house and electronic. When he plays, people can expect a diverse and eclectic combination of the three genres called above.

Born and raised in the south hideout of the Netherlands and moving through life with a DIY attitude. Picture this with his taste and devotion for characteristically uncompromising techno and the Dutchman's fundamentals for his signature sound are no longer a secret. Continuing on the heritage of electronic music he's aiming to create a nostalgic getaway. He's most identified with a tougher groove and hard-hitting rhythmic journeys.

Embracing the underground electronic culture with open arms the Dutchman formed his label EMERALD, releasing records from himself and others. Humbly pushing foward his vision of electronic music when it matters most.

The Netherlands based recording, live act and dj Modular Scapes creates disturbing yet appealing atmospheres where industrial overtones interact with the dark side of music. His Moniker Détaché crafts forth on a range of electronic music with dark baselines and spacious chords, combining elements of emotion, techno and minimalism into a captivating form. 

In addition he started a collaboration with He-man which is called Archaic. With their first releases at Electric Music Foundation and Zero K. Focussing more on the experimental side of electronic music.
