STINGRAYS - Scattered Force

PWCCA [live] joins for DifferentSound Podcast #186.

PWCCA aka Dr Cyanide, born in Madrid on April 26, 1979.
He started in the world of electronic music in 1995, he took his first contact with some dishes in a pub located in his area, driven by a friend who worked in it. Firstly, he showed progressive and house sounds, but not take long to opt for more underground trends, influenced by large techno producers such as James Ruskin, Richard Polson, Christian Wünsch, Portion reform,Regis or Surgeon among others. In 1996 and is interested in how to produce electronic music using software and hardware, creating his first beats with a Roland TR 606 and the software for rhythms "Hammer" In 1998 he was selected from over 600 applicants to represent Madrid in the first national championship of amateur djs organized by the magazine Deejay, held at the legendary venue Disco 8 Barcelona, obtaining a fifth appreciated. From that year until 2000, he works as a DJ in various clubs around the city and also gaining experience as a producer.Different Djs playing tracks from Dr Cyanide like : Oscar Mulero, Tensal, Kessell, Dj Pete, Dave Clarke, Tommy Four Seven, David Meiser, Arnaud le texier, Exium, Pelacha, Kontal, Fanon Flowers, Abstract Division, Joton, Ángel Molina, Lewis Fautzi, Patrik Skoog, Fernanda Martins, Lukas Freire and more.

Since 1989 Uncertain (formerly known as Boriqua Tribez) has become a driving force in Electronic Music. His prevailing interest for different styles in music is responsible for his unique variety of classic elements and recent influences, whether as a DJ or producer. Currently performing on 3 decks Uncertain marks his DJing for being fast, proper & "telling stories". Travelling around the Globe and DJ-Support from the likes of Richie Hawtin, Ben Sims, Mark Broom, Radio Slave, Truncate, Carl Cox, Luke Slater, Paco Osuna, DJ Rush, Will Clarke, Danny Howard, Eats Everything, DJ Bone, Danny Tenaglia, etc.. confirmes his recognition as an artist. After more than 50 Releases/Remixes on Labels like KMS (Label of Techno Originator Kevin Saunderson), Recycled Loops (former Label of UMEK/Valentino Kanzyani), Ingoma (former Label of Ben Sims), Primate,.. in the last two decades it was finally time to move on from Boriqua Tribez to the next chapter called "Uncertain". Founded in 2018 "Uncertain" shows the more frantic side of techno which - since then - gained in Releases on Labels such as Rekids, Beard Man, Truncate, WRKTRX, ANAOH, Illegal Alien, Mind Medizin, Uncage, Suara or Tronic, just to name but a few..

Pulso challenges the stablished structures in the musical framework since his style became more definitive, experimental, analogous and hypnotic, developing a unique imprint, based on minimalism and the collage method through home-made recordings.

His project and musical focus exposes the objective of immersing the listener on his semantic field, going from psychical and cerebral music, to the most sci-fi & loopy danceable style through his productions and sessions.

Pulso is part of the great Argentine scene providing musical legacies in renowned labels such as SRIE, Semantica, Tremsix, Antiterra, Mindtrip, KEY Vinyl and in its two new signatures: pvlso.ltd and Speculations LTD SRIE, where he delivers, in each release, quality music and concept, giving rise to physical edition releases.

Since 2022 a new label was born which is dedicated to the manufacture of cassettes and CDs called "Histéresis" where, together with his partner Uma Soundsystem, Pulso performs the position of mastering (Digital and Cassette) and graphic material for each edition, which are produced at home and manually and delivered to the globe; these editions can be found in his official bandcamp/Pulsojoel and in the official Histéresis Recordings account too.

In parallel to his music and minimalist style of work, Pulso develops cover arts under the name of Fractales DIY, formerly publisher of fanzines and handmade books, currently factory that spits out the crudest and surreal analog collages which are part of the catalog that defines his vision as an artist.

Alice is an artist from Daimiel, Ciudad Real, currently based in Madrid. From an early age, she discovered electronic music, specifically connecting with techno.

Since starting her career in 2022, Alice has quickly emerged in the techno scene, standing out for her high-energy sets and her ability to connect with the audience. Her passion for electronic music and dedication have led her to become a recognized figure in the techno community.

Alice is known for her deep basslines, pulsing rhythms, and atmospheric textures, creating sets that are both hypnotic and energizing. She is influenced by the richness of underground techno and modern trends.

Her amorphous polyrhythmic productions have been most recently released on Ninja Tune.

His sound can be described as high intensity techno, with dark, groovy and hypnotic characteristics with a slight touch of old school. 

For Frenzy Flits created a 2.5 hour set in which he fully shows himself. Flits told us that it was a conscious choice to play a long set, because he wants to take the listeners on a journey.
