Dark Days seeks strength in a world of darkness. It has a pulsating beat but still it’s easy to stumble from time to time. Music cannot be happy all the time but it should always give us strength and a new connection to the world even if it’s through disconnection. The song reminds me of moments on the dance floor when I was able to completely forget the others and myself, pride and insecurities and just dance.

Dark Storm

„Lichtamendedestunnels“ was written around an extremely simple electric baseline I recorded when I was looking for some analogue material to work on. 
The idea was to create something powerful. A feeling of marching through a dark night with flashes of light on a starry sky. 
Asteroids, supernovas, deep blue and green colors. 
Moments of resting while admiring the beauty of darkness and light, before we march on. 
Darkness can be scary but it can also give us strength when we realize that’s it’s made for us to admire and to find the light hidden within or beyond it.

The idea to write a dance song that feels like a lullaby was interesting to me because usually the time we enjoy dance music is when we are wide awake, dancing trough the night and not lying in bed. But sometimes we dare closing our eyes on a full dance floor and it’s only ourselves and the music. We know that the others are around us but they feel more like a safe, warm blanket. We start sleepwalking or „sleepdancing“ and we can see flashes of colors. 
When I was younger I used to experiment a lot with lucid dreaming, which can be disturbing. Sometimes it can be difficult to differentiate what’s a dream and what’s not. But it can also show you how endless our brains capacities and creativity are. That lucid dreaming can free our mind.  That dreaming and being awake should not be seen as antipodes but rather two qualities of our mind that we can learn to connect and combine. To dream our lives as a way to live our dreams.
