Biography
Empirical as a hard sip spilling from a discharged battery. There is always a nihilistic fetish in these youngsters dealing with technology. Stefano Martino, aka R A S H, is never hiding this darkest side in his composition. His machinery becomes a ritual object within which his human state becomes an algorithmic begging of change making its appearance at warm 50 hertz complacency.

His sound exploration is elaborated through decadent, post-industrial soundscapes inscribing the full failure of a consumer society which noise becomes an evidence whilst its awareness is modelled, reworked within a dystopian hexavalent chromium taste, blended into the future. AHEADACHEADAY is the solo project of Alberto de Angeli, Milan based music producer, sound designer and DJ.

Coming from the late 90’s Milanese noisecore and post-punk scene, Alberto has kept alive his experimental background and DIY ethics; a heterogeneous mix of influences is reflected during his sets and productions, ranging between quirky downtempo, hazy electro, gritty breakbeat and shady psychedelia, all mixed without fear of crossing boundaries or genres.

Since 2020, he has produced under the moniker of AHEADACHEADAY and released on labels such as @lustpoderosa @whypeopledance, @headman, @details-sound @twentyfourhoursrecords, @phobhorecords, @aeon-audio, @mqrotationrecords, @musicagainstmasses, @ruvidorecords, @mystictransfers-rec and his tracks have been supported by @vladimir, @lenawillikens, @ece-o, @elenacolombi, @lamusalamusa…

During the past 10 years Alberto has worked with likeminded artists, producers and labels around the world including: Kodō, @detlefnet, @markeno, Gabriel Shalom, @eyluldeniz1, @andreamarinelli-net (@alanproject), @291out (on Acido Records, @bosconi-records, @reallyswing, Terrasolare) and @siemedwaysmith (Depeche Mode, Luke Slater, Craig Richards) – with whom he’s co-produced releases on @pussyfoot-records, @frequenza-records, @musicagainstmasses and taken part in Best Kept Secret 2022 artists residency, alongside @colinbenders, @maartenvos, @cosmicforce and others.

Alberto is a regular guest of @mutantradio, @operator-radio, Raheem and @refugeworldwide and the creator of Sunday Headaches, a monthly show on Internet Public Radio and TOCCO, his residency on  Echobox radio. Detlef Berentzen wurde 1952 im Westfälischen geboren, besuchte in Bielefeld die obligatorische Volksschule und das berühmt-berüchtigte (Rats-)Gymnasium. Schon seine Nachkriegsjahre gerieten ihm zu "Radio-Days": Er verbrachte als Kind ganze Nachmittage vor einem freundlichen Röhrenradio namens "Telefunken Andante S" und die Nächte in der Mansarde seiner Großmutter mit einer alten "Philetta". Nach einer Lehre bei Oetker und Studien der Ökonomie und der Philosophie in Berlin erforschte er an der Spree weiterhin intensiv den Atem der Worte, wuchs schreibend heran, schrieb Gedichte, politisierte für undogmatische Szenezeitschriften, begleitete die Tageszeitung "taz" der frühen Jahre, deren Redaktion und Geschäftsführung er bis 1987 angehörte.

Berentzen war gemeinsam mit dem Maler Joern Schlund Gründer der Zeitschrift für Kindheit "enfant t.", die er fünf Jahre lang redaktionell betreute. Dazu kamen Funk (SFB u.a.), Fernsehen und auch Lehraufträge an der Berliner FU in Sachen Journalismus. Gerade die Wendeprozesse nach 1989 begleitete Berentzen für den SFB (später RBB) radiophon, kritisch und intensiv, moderierte in der Berliner Kulturbrauerei - inspiriert von Peter Härtling (dessen Biograph er ist) - die Ost-West-Gesprächsreihe "Erzähltes Leben". Berentzen hat seit Jahrzehnten für alle wichtigen Rundfunkanstalten Hörfunk-Features und Dokumentationen zu Politik, Geschichte, Bildung, Kultur und Literatur realisiert, die Titel seiner Stücke sind Legion: "Hermann - Nachdenken über Deutschland", "Supernanny goes Kinderladen",  "Fremd bin ich eingezogen...", "Geschmack radikaler Lust"..... Auf taz.de bloggt er als "Dr. Feelgood".

Der gelernte Schöneberger hat nie aufgehört, voller Neugier den sich verändernden Tonspuren des Lebens zu folgen. Er fragt, liest, sammelt, sucht, findet, schreibt, komponiert, ist mit Lesungen, Musikern und Theaterleuten unterwegs. Berentzen ist Vater, Großvater und mit einer Schwäbin verheiratet. Mehr geht nicht.

Stochastic Resonance is a network of electronic artists dedicated to research and experimentation of new forms of communication using multimedia, with the aim of proposing an augmented perception of the artwork through a mix of grants and different incentives; as occurs in the physical phenomenon, from which SR takes its name, where the addition noise, the not-signal for excellence, to a low level signal, is able to increase radically the comprehensibility and the acquisition of its full information content. 


Stochastic Resonance also works as an independent label, unbound by market rules, experiencing in manufacturing and distribution techniques and offering high quality products and outputs whose final purpose is not self-selling, reflecting the idea of​uniqueness and unrepeatable, which is behind the concept of SR name itself.
