Paul Mauriat - Aranjuez, mon amour (1967)

Brilliant oddball funk tune from Brazil, by singer/guitarist/composer Pete Dunaway. His real name is Otavio Augusto Fernandes Cardoso, and he doesn't seem to be very well known outside of Brazil. So I can't tell you much about the guy and his music. But his song 'Supermarket' really stands out I think, and I found it worthwhile to make an edit and introduce his music to a broader audience. Many thanks to Stan Djers for the advise on this one :-)

Also frisch ans Werk und am besten schon mal Tickets bestellen, damit man später nicht mit langen Gesicht in die Röhre schaut. Es gibt viel zu entdecken abseits der ausgetretenen Pfade. Dieses Jahr gilt das Motto "klein aber fein". Seid wie die großen Entdecker im 15. Jahrhundert und sucht neue Wege in die Glückseligkeit der Surrealität. Erhellt die dunklen Flecken eurer Festivallandkarte und erweitert euren Horizont. Mit Boss Axis als Navigator am Board kann nichts schief gehen ;)

Mit deepen beats und feinen Vocals, die lieblicher als der Klang der Sirenen sind, steuern sie euch geschickt durch die Untiefen der Vorbestellungsquerelen und Zeltflickaktionen bis ihr am Ziel angekommen seid, euren Campingstuhl aufgeklappt und das erste Dosenbier geöffnet habt.

L'Univers nous a mis à l'épreuve en nous envoyant des cambrioleurs dans notre Homestudio. Au delà du matériel nous avons surtout perdu notre disque dur mère contenant 6 années de productions Pouvoir Magique et Mawimbi.
C'était un sacré chagrin de voir s'envoler en 10 minutes le travail accompli sur toutes ces années, notre petit patrimoine, ces morceaux qui vous font rire par leur ancienneté, ces morceaux où vous vous dites que "finalement ce n'était pas si mal". On a donc décidé de retrouver nos productions disparues afin de leur donner un premier et dernier souffle.
Ces 12 morceaux qui ne seront jamais terminés sont donc une selection de ce qui a pu être stocké par ci par là, sur internet, dans le disque dur d'une amie, sur la clef usb d'un pote ou même dans l'ordinateur de nos familles.
Bizarrement c'est un peu comme notre premier album. On espère que grâce à vous ces âmes perdues trouveront leurs chemins à travers vos oreilles et vos partages.
