Story
Scottish Heroes. The Flame of Dawn
In the misty lands of Alba, where the winds sing in Gaelic and the mountains hold ancient secrets, a brotherhood of warriors called the Children of the Thistle was born. They were not nobles or knights, but poets, shepherds, and musicians who wielded swords forged with verse and shields carved with Druid runes.
The Origin...
When the Kingdom of Caledonia was threatened by the Lords of the Mists, spectral entities who sought to erase the memory of the clans, a legendary figure emerged: Eòin MacLir, descendant of the sea god Manannán. Eòin did not fight alone. At his side were:
• Mairead the Red, an archer from the forests of Argyll, who could summon fire hawks.
• Thomas of the Silence, a mute bard who communicated with melodies that healed or destroyed.
• Branán the Giant, Highland smith, who forged the mountain-shattering hammer Dùthchas.
The Rune Rebellion...
The heroes discovered that the Lords of the Mists were seeking the Heart of Dawn, an ancient gem that held the memories of all the clans. To protect it, the Children of the Thistle embarked on a journey through the seven circles of Scotland: from the Hebrides to the ruins of Skara Brae.
Each circle granted them a gift:
• The circle of water gave them vision of the past.
• The circle of fire, boundless courage.
• The circle of wind, the voice of the ancestors.
The Last Assault...
In the final battle, under the aurora borealis that lit up the sky of Inverness, the Children of the Thistle faced the Lords of the Mists in a symphony of steel, magic, and song. Eòin, with the Heart of Alba in his chest, sang the Song of the Clans, a melody that awakened the spirits of ancient Scottish heroes: William Wallace, Flora MacDonald, Rob Roy…

Scottish Heroes II

Track three is the first we hear from the bands singer, Haile Supreme. Since the inception of the collective, Haile, Flex, and Congo have been writing together, collaborating on new ideas, and reworking old sketches into fruition. "Stand Beside Yourself," is a brand new collaboration that features a fresh take on rhythm, paying homage to the bands love for dub style music.  Haile's soaring vocal depicts a message of humility and understanding. A humble response to the various facets of our world that continue to condemn others who come from a different culture or belief system.  In 2014 we have seen a resurgence of bigotry and a further separation of the people.  This is supposed to be behind us as a society but the political agendas seem to be perpetuating this style of rule. A moment outside of thyself is what this song is about.  A pure moment where all is seen for its true purpose not monetary or political value. Special Guest Ras Nebyu continues with a verse describing his process for which he achieves these moments in his own life, and the struggle that sometimes arises when he tries to stand beside his-self. Polished off with a blend of live and electronic sounds, the moments created musically in this track are equally as euphoric as that moment when you can truly remove and reflect.
