NC4K is a Kyoto based label, run by Stones Taro, Lomax and Pee. J Anderson. Their 26th release “Mirrorcode” by Sekitova & isagen will be out on 9th December.
“Mirrorcode” is a nostalgic breakbeats house with aggressive sound, representing their love for classic Japanese games and their inspiration from music which affect them.

And this release includes seven remixes by talented Japanese producers(Stones Taro, Lomax, Pee. J Anderson, blackglassG, khatru, in the blue shirt and RYOKO2000).

Shizuoka based producer, SONARUM aka S.O.N. has released “Dots To Groove” EP on Kyoto's NC4K as the fourth lot of the "Yellow" series.
Funky voice samples, glitchy sounds and thick bass intertwine on the first track 'Magic', a house track that represents a kind of alternative.
The second track, Turn the Light off, has a funky riff that repeats itself, but the pad sounds from the hardware give it an air of weirdness.
The remixers are South Korea-based international breakthrough Closet Yi and NC4K boss Stones Taro.Closet Yi's remix, with its strong bottom and more emphasis on the breakbeat, and Stones Taro's trancy interpretation of the original will both get you dancing on the dancefloor this year.

The 33rd in NC4K's main series is a collection of remixes of 'Earth Steps'.

Pee.J Anderson's original version, released on NC4K Collection vol 3, was such a hit at dance music festivals and boiler rooms that it has become an NC4K classic.

The EP features remixes by main label members Stones Taro, Genichiro, Paperkraft and Paperkraft's alias DJ Reverseweave.

Their remixes shed new light on the original. Will be played by more DJs.

Kyoto-based dance music label NC4K's dub series features dangerous edits by label boss Stones Taro.

The A-side is a dark 2-step with crazy vocal samples. This must be a floor banger with his typical varied bass sounds and high quality beats.

The B-side is a breakbeat edit of a disco anthem with a dark spice. The minor bassline will set the mood on the floor.

Kyoto-based NC4K, the imprint helmed by Stones Taro and Lomax, returns with a highly anticipated new release from fellow Kyoto residents, the producer/DJ duo Kross Section. Known for their signature blend of crisp, airy drums and captivating, hypnotic melodies, Kross Section deliver a quintessential groover.
The release is further amplified by a remix from NC4K head honcho Stones Taro himself. Diving deep into the sonic landscape of late 90s and early 2000s UK house, Stones Taro injects a distinctive edge with a prominent, rumbling Reese bassline.

Kyoto-based producer Stones Taro is launching a new self-released series titled "Byproduct," with the first installment, an EP of the same name, dropping exclusively on his Bandcamp.

This new series pushes Stones Taro's experimental side, distinct from his label NC4K. As the title suggests, these tracks are like musical "byproducts"—challenging and different from his usual style. However, even with these unique sounds, his signature dancefloor-ready beats are still very much present.

Stones Taro plans to continue releasing more tracks on his Bandcamp. Keep an eye out for his evolving sound.

Stones Taro presents "Foglore" - 09 March 2026

Continuing his flawless run of releases across labels and styles, Kyoto heavyweight Stones Taro lands on Dubrunner's Menace with four essential slabs of bass science.

It was around 2020 when Stones Taro productions started to make waves, as he deftly moved between elegant jungle, rubbery acid, rowdy UKG and sparkling bruk. Much more than a jack of all trades, Taro brings a staggering level of sophistication and personality to each and every corner of the dance he occupies, and that holds true as he serves up Telling The Time.

The title track deploys deadly half step and a constant sense of rising pressure around a vocal snippet that calls back to the early days of breakbeat hardcore — cult kids TV show Trumpton was sampled back in the anything-goes day of early rave, and Taro spells out the lineage of his sound with his own trip back to the 1960s stop-motion animation. 'Proximity Warning' locks in for a more tightly wound groove in the 140 realm, weaving a labyrinthine tapestry of samples and atmospheric impulses around the nuanced rhythm section.

On the flip, 'Desaturation' leans into true-school dub motifs, complete with siren bleeps and the subtlest flecks of drum breaks in an elegant balance of dubstep's roots and its constant forward momentum. 'False Alarm' saves the most flamboyant moves until last, creating a secret weapon in the finest B2 tradition with a gnarly, floor-igniting riser laced with an incredibly tasteful lick of distortion. It's cool, deadly and wild all in the same bar.

Maintaining his devastating flair while subtly tightening his focus, Stones Taro serves up the perfect meeting point between his ever-evolving sound and Menace’s commitment to forward-facing, system-minded club music.
