Eastern System is a real beat workout, with traces of Asia in its melodies, Africa in its rhythms and a stunning choral arrangement. This, layered with a charming and somewhat nostalgic main vocal, eventually turns into a hypnotic chant towards the close. A beautifully subdued track that still manages to deliver powerfully on the dancefloor.

"Monday Give Me Monday" showcases Art Feynman's signature grooves, krautrock slink, and staccato bounce, all captured on his trusty four-track cassette recorder.

Earlier this summer, Art Feynman released his debut full-length album Blast Off Through the Wicker and toured the US with Stereolab's Laetitia Sadier. Pitchfork describes him as "a cool purveyor of coked-out dub-kraut." Consequence of Sound calls his debut a "funky, psychedelic slice of afro-pop" and Tiny Mix Tapes regards it as an "analog masterpiece."

In 2018 Art Feynman will return with his sophomore LP that takes us even further into his motorik and afrobeat inspired world of sound.

Andre Wiken is a visual and sonic artist. Traveling around the world in search of rare fabrics that he uses to craft one-of-a-kind hats, life in the world of his company Lower Park is very much a metaphor for the way he creates music. Mixing and matching patterns from different corners of the globe, pieces are seamlessly woven together to create joyously vibrant, meticulously textured works of art. His first release with Astro Nautico since 2015 single ‘Que Te Come Tiburon’, 'Mameluco' is a trio of late-night breezers, perfect for an impromptu dance party on the beach.

On ’Get Avion’, Pacific holiday pads are fastened to uptempo drums with Estef Najera’s catchy vocals listlessly riding along a soft-shifting melody dreamscape. The namesake of the EP, ‘Mameluco’ feels like a kinetic romp through childhood memories, sun-melted vibes evoking half-remembered parties and family vacations fading into images of old friends. ‘Nube Vielen’, perhaps the most club-functional of the three, is a hazy sunset glide through space, anchored by tropical polyrhythms that dare the listener not to get up and bust a move.

In celebration of this release, we are also selling a handful (read: RARE) of Wiken’s hand-sewn ‘Malikabota’ hats, featuring fabric personally sourced from Kathmandu, Nepal.
