When I was around 16 years old we had two communist girls in our class. They were already living in their own flat without any parents around at all. And they were throwing partys from time to time. At the first party I attended, I felt a bit lost. I ran into this guy called Tillmann. He was living in Cologne, studying journalism there. I have no idea what made him come to the small town I was from. We talked about the "Nie wieder Deutschland" banners on the walls. He emphasised his deep admiration for the band Tocotronic. I for my part was a big enthusiast for this band as well. He told me that his favourite song of all times was a b-side called Deine Party, which at that time I had never heard of. Years later I chanced upon Tillmann again at a Kings Of Convenience concert in Cologne. It was just before he moved out of town to an unknown place.
