Montreal's Parts Project enters the Woodwork arena with a fierce bass and breaks onslaught.

'Mechanistic' cracks things open with a dark, slamming percussion monster.  Skipping kicks patterns paired with cyclical percussion and unwavering hi hats encapsulate raw power and syncopated nuances. Vocal chops and cavernous ambience with sparse sub squelches dot this future dub landscape.

'I Beams' stirs up an electrical storm from a single downbeat kick through its machine gun snares and hand clap attack.  A shifting alarm layer shifts up and down at will, using tight intervals to contain its frantic energy. Added kick drums  amplify the momentum until the beats stop in their tracks leaving the dust and sparks to settle as abruptly as they started.

'Free party' taps into an immense energy source, threatening to explode at any moment with cataclysmic force.  Skittish half time breaks counteract a repetitive bit reduction riff with agitated bass stabs and steamy background fx. The tracks lands peacefully in a resolute outro, softening the menacing aspects of each element and achieving profound contrast all in one move.

A fresh techno cut emerges in 'full space'. In the grip of dirty synth riffs, a percussive rhythm track fills out a backdrop of noisy drones as big drum hits morph into dark resonant growling bass stabs.

'Collersion' rolls out the dub carpet.  Static breaks with intermittent shakers support punchy laser hits and aggressive textured bass swells. Parts Project works through this ominous slow burner with tempered adjustments that carefully shifts focus among the elements.
