'Stand Still' features an extended cast of ‘friends’ including the vocals of close friend Micky Green, the highly respected Sydney-born-Paris-based pop singer whose sweeping melodies add bubblegum sweetness to an otherwise high-tempo single. The final mix also comes courtesy of James David, one half of mysterious UK duo Snakehips. Old friends of Micky’s, Jimmy and Hugo have also chosen to work with another familiar face for the official music video in Director Dave Ma, the creative force behind the ARIA 2013 nominated clip for much lauded single 'Clair De Lune'.

‘Stand Still’ will be available with three incredible remixes, featuring Sydney’s Wave Racer, Future Classic alumni (and Lithuania’s Producer of the Year) Mario Basanov, and New York’s Com Truise, who brings his synth-heavy sounds to the table.

Stand Still (feat. Micky Green)

Held Down is nautical themed audio experience based on the myths and legends that surround maritime adventures on the high seas. 

In the verse you'll find a narrative that is loosely descriptive of a voyage made by a galleon. In the story the crew survives storms, cannon fire and encounters with famed sea creatures. 

Instrumentally the track has been crafted to give the feeling of being at sea, it includes some great sampling work, which at times, creates an almost cinematic sound scape, you can hear guitars imitate the sounds of submarine radars and how the chorus itself was designed to mimic the feeling of sea sickness. 

SDR themselves we're very excited to announce the involvement of local hero 'Mat Hume' who is featuring on the track as a crusty seas captain who has gone mad, a fact that will no doubt draw a lot of attention to the song on a regional level.  Mat Hume has said of working with SDR: "Bands like SDR are more punk than punk." and "I have been nearly 20 years in music and I can honestly say I am as proud of this song as any I have ever worked on. Hats off to SDR who aren't walking the walk, they're fucking teaching everyone else how to walk the walk too."

Lead singer Sam Christie added "I think Mat Hume's involvement is an exciting prospect as many people know the man as a promoter but haven't heard any of his work, there is a timeless vault of great tracks there that people are not aware of because the guy isn't the type of person to advertise the fact. His vocal is huge on this piece of music"

The band have had a fantastic year together. Taking an obscure side project from strength to strength and are really enthralled by what 2014 will bring. Introducing the new 6 track concept E.P from Electronic Rock extraordinaires 'Stop Drop Robot'   

Join the band in a trip through time in a body of work the is pushing boundaries in every sense. The E.P's first two tracks are based on the bands predictions of the future; the title track 'Cerebral Eviction Notice' paints the picture of a not so distant utopian state of tomorrow, in which citizens run the risk of being evicted from their bodies by the state. 

Songs 3 and 4 of this E.P are about the present. Tilikum is a track about a killer whale by the same name that recently starred in a hugely popular documentary called 'Blackfish' who has become somewhat of an unlikely hero, the film itself has started a controversial movement that is threatening to shut down Seaworld and end the captivity or Orca whales. The band however simply present a track about what it would be like to swim with the killer. 

Murder The Drums is a track about how modern day pressures and worries can bombard an individual but music can elevate you to a place of peace. The song features legendary drummer Joe Green of Milburn / Dead Sons fame. 

The last two songs of the E.P are about the past. Remembrance Day explores the idea of humanities historical romanticism of violence and how people have glorified killing throughout the ages.

In Paint it Black shit gets biblical; its a track that has been designed to lure the listener into a false sense of security, it features an easter egg that allows the band to finish this E.P on a huge high. Lyrically the song is about 'the human condition', how we are wired to conquer and seek out adventure yet we maintain a constant flirtation with depression and how we will never truly know what the purpose of our existence is.

Grammy-nominated Alabama Shakes frontwoman Brittany Howard teams up with Third Man family member Ruby Amanfu, who first caught our ears on Jack White's "Love Interruption," for two reinterpretations of boldly contrasting source material: Side A features their take on "I Wonder," originally performed by Rodriguez, subject of the Oscar-winning documentary Searching For Sugar Man, while side B finds Howard also picking up her acoustic guitar as the two sing their version of "When My Man Comes Home," originally recorded by Memphis Minnie, the immortal composer of "When The Levee Breaks" among others.

This single also features Dominic Davis on electric and upright bass, Daru Jones on drums, Cory Younts on piano, Ikey Owens on keys and Hammond B3 and Fats Kaplin on electric guitar, lap steel and mandolin.
