Peg Parnevik - Ain't No Saint (Kenny Hectyc Remix) [SONY Music]

For the first time ever, the International Library of African Music has been made available for artists to remix. Originally recorded by ethnomusicologist Hugh Tracey, 35,000 recordings were made across Africa between the 1920s and '70s. That alone was a staggering cultural achievement and, in tribute to Tracey's work and that of the artists he recorded, a raft of producers and artists have been brought in to reimagine the work for the Beating Heart - Malawi album (due June 3). Money raised from the project will go directly to helping the communities where the original recordings were made. Rudimental, Clap! Clap!, Kidnap Kid, Machinedrum, Luke Vibert and Throwing Shade have all contributed efforts but it was this version from My Nu Leng that piqued our interest. Taking an uplifting vocal chant, the duo build a devastating assault of low-end stabs and popping drums that explode violently across the track with each iteration. If you've ever caught My Nu Leng live, imagine that energy distilled into four minutes and 19 seconds.

It's been a little while since we last heard from Noble, who partenered with Drax on 'Lance' on 'Southpoint Presents, Vol. 6', immediately being recognized as one of the 140 highlights of Southpoint's 2018. We are thrilled to have him back on the 'Introducing' roster with a very exciting dubstep-inspired creation by the name of 'Vamp'. This one is stuffed to the brim with explosive dubstep flavour, driven by dubwise drum styles, mauling sub pressure and some seriously cool atmospheric backing.
