Following the May release of his debut album “Rising Despite Circumstances” we celebrate Adam Gillett’s record with a very special collection of interpretations and reimaginings “Rising Despite Circumstances: Remixed”.

For this collection we’ve assembled a truly monumental troupe of producers to give their takes on the anthemic and ethereal originals and the 11 takes that comprise this remix record represent a staggeringly diverse breadth of styles, genres, and tones all while keeping the heart of the original record beating.

Brooklyn based artist Luko M kicks off the proceedings with a lush gently glitchy rearrangement of the album opener “Can We Do Better?” answered by UK producer Grant Deane’s hauntingly ethereal and tender rework of the same tune. Our good friend, Bay area’s Benito keeps things airy on his sparse and gorgeous take on “Like An Animal” giving way to King Grump’s endlessly groovy flip of “Reap What You Sow”. Aussie art pop duo Ducks! turn “Still Going Round In Circles” into a delicious dub odyssey, leading the way for German system heater expert Dogpatrol to melt some faces with a simply rude bass driven take on “Like An Animal”.

Ibiza based Woodland Creature Tsodor turns up with the kind of dancefloor smasher he’s made a name for unleashing upon unexpecting dancers with his storming “Reap What You Sow” flip - opening the floor for living legend Timo Maas’s simply devastating DJ weapon of a rework of mid album banger “Check Yo Stamina On The Reg”. Keeping the dancefloor moving comes Special Zip’s gloriously playful and infectiously vibey play with “Like An Animal”. Midlands resident breaks enthusiast Rawtrachs drops a decidedly euphoric and old school take on the same track before the record comes to stunning conclusion with long time collaborator and dear friend Justin Margovan’s complex, driving and deeply atmospheric rework of “Reap What You Sow” as Nihon Ten.

James Young steps up for his first release on QRUK with the Nagasaki EP, a dark and driving UKG cut that leans into the moodier edges of Garage and Speedy G. The North Wales-based producer has already made waves with House releases on labels like Smashin Trax and Pogo House, but this new EP sees him pushing into heavier, more dancefloor-focused territory. Nagasaki is packed with chopped-up drums, eerie textures and a tough low-end that hits hard.

On remix duties is Kabo Cana, returning to the label after making a big impression with his debut I DON'T UNDERSTAND. His take on Nagasaki flips the original into a more club-ready, 90s inspired roller full of sub pressure and tight percussion. It's another strong showing from the Manchester-based producer who's quickly becoming an exciting name in the new wave of UKG.

NuBass made his mark on 1Forty with a track that became our most streamed on SoundCloud.. 'Meltdown'. For this reason alone we had to arrange a VIP to follow it up for this compilation. Its no surprise that it has been picked up by DJ EZ, Notion, Barely Royal, TS7, Skue-K and was recently played by TQD on their bow out of their Radio 1 Residency.

The 19 year old producer has only been producing for 2 years but its easy to see why he's progressed as fast as he has. Since he last released with us back in November he's been a headliner at Stealth (Nottingham), Tank (Sheffield), appeared at our second home - Mint Warehouse (Leeds) and also made his international debut in Belgium. Skepsis, Holy Goof, FooR, Shapes, TS7, Darkzy & more have continuously supported his music which has now even reached the likes of Wax Motif in the States.

As one of the real success stories from the 'Introducing' channel, we are delighted to be welcoming iamphantvm back for his third release with us, marking his full graduation with flying colours. The young LA native has embraced the UK Bass scene and it has embraced him as he pulls out yet another piece of dancefloor dynamite by the name of ‘Feel It’. This one is a box of grit, jammed between pulsating drum punches,  well organised synthesis and catchy melodies, showcasing phantvm’s impressive progress and honing of his sound.
