This is a forward thinking throwback rumpshaker with Mad Decent favorite Zebra Katz is a set to rule the club. Zebra Katz made his Mad Decent debut in 2012 with the release of his ode to "reading", with "Ima Read." and has since laid down a solid line up of releases. On "Tear The House Up," his b-line minimalist rap signature meet's Hervé's compelling instrumental to make an irresistible collab. THIS WEEK WE WELCOME THE PROTOTYPES TO THE LAB - FREE DL SERIES

Nicks's FIRST release since the former duo split marking a new ear for The Prototypes & we are GASSED to get behind Nicks's Bootleg of Breach - Jack. 

The Prototypes have been tearing dancefloors up since 2007! 

By 2010 they had released their first singles on labels such as Formation Records and Viper Recordings, and from 2011 to 2013 were signed to Shogun Audio. 

They have released a number of EPs, and have received radio and live PA support from DJs such as Matrix & Futurebound. Signing exclusively to Viper Recordings in 2014, in the following months the duo released a number of promo singles for a debut album. 

Their resulting single, "Pale Blue Dot" ranked as Beatport's second top selling drum and bass track of the year. The track was also nominated for Best Track at the Drum & Bass Arena Awards, with The Prototypes also nominated for Best Producer, Best Music Video, and Best DJ.

May of 2023, The former Prototypes duo made the difficult decision to part ways, Nick has loads in store for 2024, watch this space.
