Ashen Fields was born in September 2017, when Davide (gt.), Jacopo (gt.) and Alessandro (dr.), decided to leave their previous band Path Of Sorrow. The lineup was soon completed in the beginning of 2018, with the arrival of Julio on vocals and Fabio on bass guitar. Sound wise, the band aims to add modern and symphonic elements to Melodic Death Metal, thus considering themselves Symphonic Death Metal. Between May and July they recorded three songs and released their first self titled EP in September.

Zeolite defiantly stand apart from their peers with a sound characterised by cold, bleak soundscapes backed by monolithic riffs and devastating aggression. Having carved a niche for themselves in the dense community of Australian metal, the band gained further noteriety following the release of their debut album Proselytism, which reached #4 on the AIR independent charts and earned widespread acclaim in both the Australian and international metal communities. 
Having been handpicked for tours alongside some of metal’s biggest names, including The Black Dahlia Murder, Aborted, Vulvodynia and At The Gates, the future looks bright for this Melbourne outfit.
