For his second official release, brazilian dj/producer ROOMPUNX brings a banging jazz infused lo-fi house track with a punchy beat and lots of soul, creating a nostalgic atmosphere by the use of looping samples and hypnotizing vocals. As we’ve all seen Tāmaki Makaurau has suffered massive devastation after the floods a few weeks ago with the good people of the north being heavily affected with some losing their homes & entire livelihood’s including lots of dear friends & whanau of The Big Fresh Collective - We turned to local artists & businesses to donate a bit of their time and support to a great cause in order to raise some funds for those in need ❤

Footmahi For Tāmaki Makaurau is a non for profit, Footwork & Juke inspired compilation album where artists from all over Aotearoa & the rest of the world have donated tracks in support of The Victims of the recent floods and the people of Tāmaki Makaurau.

The compilation is centered around raising money for the victims of the floods and also restoring a bit of love and happiness back through the way we know best; with good music!

Created on a $0 budget with tracks donated from acclaimed artists locally and abroad; The compilation will be available under a name-your-own-price deal on Bandcamp which means you get to choose how much you want to donate towards the cause and you receive a high-quality download of the album - 100% of profits will be going directly to The Auckland City Mission  ❤

Succeeding the various artist compilation ‘FT ON NINA 02‘ in December 2023, Paris-based imprint @frenchtabloid return with the collaborative ‘Pilgrim‘ EP – courtesy of misfit duet VOOR and Reark.

Following previous appearances on Funkysouls and French Tabloïd, NYC-based producer VOOR joins forces with London-based sound provider Reark for four tracks of serene contemplation. With the ‘Pilgrim‘ EP, the duo presents a digital fantasy filled with laidback electronica and mindless experimental.

Ousmane is a friend of ours here in Freiburg, where he came as a refugee in 2019. He first moved from the refugee reception centre in Freiburg to a shared accommodation in Offenburg. This year, he then had to move to Renchen near Offenburg. As he is doing his apprenticeship in Freiburg, this means a 3-hour commute there and back every day. Ousmane would like to move to Freiburg and friends of ours have organized a room in a shared flat for him. But as he can't give notice for his shared container room in Renchen, he has to pay two months' rent. We therefore want to use the profits from this EP to support Ousmane during this time. The overall donation target is €2000 so that he can pay the double rent for 6 months.

The donations are handled by Solitopf Freiburg.
