Mike aka Monochord was born in 1983 and started producing Electronic Music and DJ’ing in the year 2000.
He formerly produced under the aliases "Emtex" and "The Tape Headz", often switching styles between Trance, Progressive Psytrance, Minimal and Techno.
In 2014 he switched his entire recording studio set up from PC to synthesizers, which was also the beginning of his new project "Monochord" with a focus on Dub Techno and Deep Techno.
His influences were jam sessions using the hardware gear and several Producers like Basic Channel, Brendon Moeller, Luke Hess, Marko Fürstenberg, Quantec, Echospace, Minilogue, Dataline and many more.
In 2019 Monochord switched back to PC & DAW and started producing Minimal, Deep Drum n Bass and Techno.
Nowadays, his sound style is a mix of Dub, Dubtech, Dub Techno, Mnml, House and other genres like IDM or Ambient, or as he calls it “Progressive Dub Tech”.

As a DJ he taps into various genres with Raw Techno, Minimal Techno, Tech House, Dub Techno, Deep Drum n Bass, Deep Dubstep and Progressive Trance/Psychedelic being his favorite to play.
He was a Resident DJ @ Klub Basis in Thun and played many Sets in Luzern in different Clubs and Bars, as well as playing at several Open-Air parties across Switzerland.
Currently he is one of the Resident DJs at Techno Connects People (“TCP”) which offers daily Live Steams on Twitch that cover a wide range of Electronic Music.

Pieter Fekkes: Imported from The Netherlands, knows almost all parties and festivals. Since over thirty years he’s actively raving and partying in nightlife and saw many big raves and parties in The Netherlands. Since shortly over ten years he’s residing in Basel and since six years his desire is to switch from raver to become a DJ. Pieter is becoming a rising star on Twitch and since two years he’s practically every weekend streaming live on Twitch. He shows what kind of style and taste he has developed and adopted within in the Techno genre and Techno is his absolute passion. The Twitch channel, which he’s managing together with der Jo, is slowly becoming more views and soon he will have the chance to play with some bigger players within the Techno scene. Often he is also playing with other DJ‘s on his channel (see the link to his account). His first experience to play in front of a real audience he got from some smaller gigs. His highlight was, that he played with the ,Unser Beatz’ truck on the Jungle Street Parade. This Parade is a Street Parade and the biggest electronic music festival of Basel, which takes place every year in August.
