Ahead of her debut album ‘ANGIE,’ the LA-based songwriter and producer tells SoundCloud all about her approach to crafting her eclectic brand of indie pop. For the lead single, “Hold Me,” spill tab explains she “let the reins go a little bit.” She wrote it right after a breakup, she adds, which is “extra sad, but it made me feel good writing it.” Meanwhile, the track “Assis” melds psychedelia with an imaginary soundtrack “from an Italian movie in the 1950s.” Having supported acts like Sabrina Carpenter and Wallows on tour, spill tab is ready to have her own breakout year.
