Brighton born and Manchester based DJ/producer Joe Roberts (aka Strebor) creates melodic techno with undertones of rave inspired breaks. Born in Brighton in 1995, he grew up with a keen interest in dance music, his earliest memory of his musical journey was being 9 years old taping his favourite songs from the radio on blank cassettes. Eight years later at the age of 17 he got his first pair of turntables, self teaching himself to DJ with production coming not too long after.

He eventually made his club debut in March 2014 in response to coming first in a DJ competition. Since then he has moved to Manchester in 2015 for university to study Music Production, which resulted in various gigs across the city and also the very place he co-founded Techno and Electro collective ‘Kuta’ where he is currently a resident DJ.

With UK night-life being currently out of bounds, lockdown has resulted in the Manchester based artist to resort to playing various live streams and also hitting the studio harder than ever before which has consequently led to his debut EP entitled ‘Regulate’ being released on Satta Records. His influences consist of the likes of Bicep, Underworld, Pangaea and Joy Orbison.
