Devin Kroes is an electronic music producer and multi instrumentalist with a desire to awaken and inspire his listeners. Based in Bay Area, California, he seeks to sonically recreate the aesthetics of the world around him with squishy bass and sultry strings. His music seeks to create a sense of familiarity while transporting the listener into the depths of the infinite. He seeks to provide a unique live experience by utilizing live guitar and a looper, allowing him to improvise and making each set immersive and captivating for the listener. Devin Kroes - Breaking Through

LostinSound.org is excited to premiere the @DevinKroesmusic X @ResonantLanguage collaboration "Misty Peaks" from the forthcoming @chillagerecords compilation album Crunksauce Vol. 5  which features 20 different producers' creations covering a diverse range of genres, including artists such as Wu Wei, The Digital Connection, Spoken Bird, Secret Recipe and more. 

"Misty Peaks" is reminiscent of an early Emancipator production, but with a full dose of trip-and-drip-hop. Devin Kroes' reverberating acoustic guitar swirls in and around psy-breaks built by Colorado's Resonant Language.  The result is something beautifully cinematic and gripping that pours out slowly from the speaker. 

Chillage has been supporting the releases of west coast bass musicians for a number of years, and this fifth installment of their Crunksauce series was the first time they opened submissions to the public. Tunes from established producers and a handful of fresh faces fill the 19 track release. Chillage is releasing three tracks each week in various outlets before the March 29 official release date.

The second of two tracks that was written in Costa Rica. Huitaca is the goddess of arts, dance and music, sexual liberation, witchcraft and the moon. She was turned into an owl for rebelling against another god. 

This tune is about the wild spirit and the ancient jungle.

“Solstice” spotlights Savej’s practice of the Kargyraa style of throat singing, a skill that demanded weeks of training to achieve proper vocal cord disengagement. As the Native American flute and Peruvian whistles search for “One Truth,” percussive rhythms support the binding of matter and spirit into one energy. “Eye For An I” employs entrancing trap soundscapes with an organic tribal flair. Nature comes to life in “Sirens,” as creatures who roam the jungle are dazzled by hypnotic bass tapestries. When the Sun’s path crosses the celestial equator, “Equinox” escorts wanderers towards a groovy celebratory dreamscape. Concluding the paradisiacal globe-trot, “Vilca” pays tribute to the sacred psychedelic ritual, offering one last dance in the shamanic wonderland.

In 2013, Chloe Herry entered Mr. Bill's Cheyah remix competition, which was hosted via Gravitas Recordings. After earning second place, label founder Jesse Brede knew he discovered someone special. Constantly inspired by her music, Gravitas had the honor of releasing multiple projects with CloZee, notably Revolution, Harmony, and Evasion. Through the years, she has risen to one of Gravitas's top artists. Now two albums, multiple EPs, and countless singles later, CloZee has emerged as an electronic music phenomenon and pioneer of the world bass genre.
 
As CloZee begins an unprecedented venture with her new Odyzey Records imprint, she is returning to Gravitas to help raise up the next generation of new artists.
